Words can’t begin to describe how much I absolutely adore this place. I struggle writing this review because this is one of those places you visit and kind of want to keep a secret..The family who runs it is so kind- we had lots of privacy in our room but felt like we were staying in their home. We stayed in the top floor room with the open air bath and my goodness, it is just heaven. The beds are comfy and the room spacious- a real treat while traveling in Japan. My heart already aches to return. We can’t wait to come back in the winter!Reach out to them directly to book, otherwise I think it is only bookable through Expedia (which I don’t typically book through).

If you're thinking about staying at a ryokan in Kinosaki, this is the place to go. It's the smallest (in terms of the number of rooms offered) but the most highly coveted inn in the neighborhood, and for good reason. …

Our family of 4 (including 2 adult kids) just returned from a 10-day trip to Japan 4/18-28, 2024: Tokyo, Kyoto and Kinosakionsen. While the first two stops were amazing, Kinosakionsen was absolutely MAGICAL! …

Truly a great place to stay while in Kinosaki. The hosts are so incredibly sweet and friendly, they greet you every time you walk in. The western room was spacious and beautifully designed. Definitely my favorite place I’ve stayed at in Japan! Don’t hesitate to book a room here!

What an absolute gem in Kinosaki. My wife and I had an absolute amazing experience at Kojinmari. We stayed in the “Western” room and it’s beautiful, full of new amenities, extremely spacious and overlooks the river. The Japanese family running the ryokan is SO kind. We had the kaiseki meal and I can honestly say that it was the best meal we ate during our entire Japan trip. While expensive, I would definitely recommend to anyone staying at the ryokan, as it felt like such a special experience. The breakfast was absolutely delicious as well, and it was such a nice (and healthy) way to start the day.The location of Kojinmari is perfect too. Smack in the middle of town, it’s more convenient than some of the larger hotels, which are towards the end of town.Would recommend Kojinmari to anyone. If I’m ever back in Kinosaki, it’s the first place I would try and book.

This cosy inn is run by a small family who's been managing the business for a couple of generations. The room I stayed in is western styled, with wonderful views of the main street and the river. The room is thoughtfully laid out and spacious, with most amenities you need for a very comfortable stay. It is also well insulated and sound proofed. The owner and his family speaks a little bit of English but what they lack in the language is made up by their warm hospitality. I had included a kaiseki dinner and Japanese breakfast for my stay and they were both expertly done and very sumptuous meals indeed! Not to be missed! The location of the inn is also fantastic, right in the centre of town and close to everything. I hope I will be able to stay in the other newly renovated room the next time I visit Kinosaki Onsen again!

This hotel is truly fantastic and very much worth booking early if you can. The owners are exceptional...very friendly and accommodating. The room was well appointed and comfortable, we even had our own semi-outdoor bath!Easy walk from the train station. Close to a Family Mart and right in the middle if you are visiting all of the public onsens. This was one of our favorite hotels during our two week trip to Japan. Probably the most restful sleep I have ever had! I hope to return!
