Morizuya Ryokan exceeded all expectations. The energy of the ryokan was warm, loving and inviting. The private onsens allowed us to unwind and relax alone after arriving, before we chose to go out to the public onsens and snack bars. The staff welcomed us with so much love, we felt honored and taken care of from the moment we walked in the door. We will cherish the memories of Morizuya forever!

Great location in the centre of town and also kid friendly. Hachi-San the owner, who speaks perfect English, offers exceptional warmth and service. Tea ceremony upon check in. Breakfast (included) and dinner (8K JPY separate fee pp) are served in a common upstairs dining room rather than in your private room, but not really a big deal for us. The cuisine I would describe as homely rather than luxury. I would suggest you take dinner one night and eat out your second night. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Kinosakionsen!

If you are considering booking this hotel, dont bother with my review and just do it. Really just do it. Morizuya is a place that will always be in my heart, the service, the atmosphere, everything about Morizuya is something that stays with you. Have you ever watched Spirited Away and thought "I want that?", well going to Kinosaki and staying here is the embodiment of that. I can't stress enough of how much I enjoyed my days here. The owner and his family goes above and beyond for you to make you feel welcome. I have never felt such true hospitality as I did there and I will probably never experience it again unless I one day return.

Highly recommended!I like the room and the food very much. The point is that the service is greatThe aunt will help you put on your yukata beautifully, and the boss can also help you carry your suitcase to the station. The location is right between the must-visit Ichi-no-yu and Gosho-no-yu. You can enjoy the beautiful river view when you come out at night.Hope to go again(There are open-air hot springs and cave hot springs in the hotel. They can be locked and turned into private hot springs when no one is around. There are no restrictions on men and women. Before going to the big hot spring house on the street, you can come here to practice the Japanese bathing process.)

The building itself is a good old ryokan, with steep stairs and old-fashioned guest rooms and facilities, but the inn was designed to be comfortable and I was able to spend a relaxing time there. As a welcome tea, the landlady personally made us some tea. Many of the customers were foreigners, and they seemed to be accustomed to serving customers in English, and the explanations were easy to understand even for Japanese people.
