The structure is a kind of hotel with the rooms organized as if they were ryokan; the bathrooms are spartan. The real plus of this structure, however, are Hiromi and her mother. …

I stayed here for a snowboarding trip at Nozawa Onsen.Although it is far from the hot spring town and ski resort, they provided a shuttle bus which was very helpful. We were provided with a space to store our luggage and change clothes before and after check-in and check-out.Also, both dinner and breakfast were very delicious, and I even took what I couldn't finish of the bread that was served for breakfast to the ski slopes and ate it as a snack! The room was clean and the staff were all kind. I would love to come back next time!

This ryokan is a family run inn. The room we got was very clean with beautiful tatami and a nice view. We are a family of four with two children. Kids feel very comfortable and received proper meal. The owner bake fresh bread every morning. Most of meal are made with local ingredients. The owner drop us every morning on the slop and pick us up in the afternoon. Also he will drive you to the onsen city after dinner and pick up. The accommodation may look from from ski area but with such a service it’s even better than living in the village center. Also they have a dry, warm room for ski gears. Our shoes were warm every morning before setting off to the slop :-)

This is a charming inn on the outskirts of town. The walk into town is easy, but the innkeepers will provide guests with rides into/from town, to/from the ski area, etc. We took a class from Hiromi, learning how to make the local treat, oyaki. It was a great activity for those wanting a ski rest day or for those who don't ski, or for anyone who just wants to see another aspect of Japanese culture.
