My wife and I were to stay at Ayona Villa from 18th to 21st of June, 2024 but stayed a Night (As we had no other option) and checked out the next morning - 19th June, 2024.We checked in and were instantly regretting our decision seeing the condition of the place.The location is quite bad. There are dogs running free and loose in the vicinity who WILL chase your scooter everytime you come or go.Upon entering the Villa, it seems wonderful till you look around.Enter the Master Bedroom and you'll be welcomed by Dirty Stains on the sheets, Ants roaming around ON the bed. Towels were stained and stinking of Oil - as if someone had just had a nice oil massage, used the towel and kept it right back in the same spot. Disgusting it was.Would not recommend the place for a bunch of reasons -1 - Location is quite bad. Plus during Monsoons, you will have a lot of Mosquitoes due to the open unattended land right Opposite.2 - Hospitality - Not one of their strongest points.3 - House Keeping - Don't think that exists as you can see and tell by the images attached with the review.4 - Pricing - Not a cheap place by any means and definitely not worth in terms of Price to Quality ratio. Can get much better places are similar or lesser pricing considering the abundant options available on the Island.

Worth the read as we wont be returning...Reception is very small and sits right at the front of all Villas which is also the only entry and exit out of the property. You will be greeted EVERYTIME you walk through the doors.The street the villa runs off gets very busy however it can't be heard from the Villa once the doors are closed.The Villa is down an alleyway that doesn't have much light at night time which can be a bit scary especially with the locals and their roosters living on the same alleyway.Check in process was quick. We put a $50 deposit down and got handed the keys. Only issue in this process was being asked for our breakfast order for the next 3 days upon check in and the time for it to be delivered to our Villa. Some people may find this great but not us. We came to the Villa to get some peace and quiet, to sleep in to when we wanted and not be on a schedule. We ended up cancelling this service and heading down the road for breakfast each morning when we were ready.The host took us to our Villa and showed us around everywhere. It was hard to understand everything she was saying and would have liked to just be shown to our Villa then left alone.The room has a "privacy please" sign instead of a DND sign which was cute. However, whenever this was displayed on the door it was ignored by all staff. Every time we were in our Villa the sign went up. We were disturbed multiple times on our stay which could have waited.The second night we were at the villa we got woken up by a phone call at 1am asking us about our breakfast order for the next day... This was extremally frustrating since we said we didn't want any breakfast when we checked in.With housekeeping the front desk needed to know when it was ok to clean our villa every time we walked out of reception as there seemed to be only the 1 set of keys. This got very annoying as we were always in and out. The sign had a 'make up villa' on the opposite side which was put up when we wanted to Villa cleaned. Having this sign up or not they still asked each time we passed reception if our Villa is needed to be cleaned.The guest amenities only had a dental kit, comb and cotton pads which were never refilled during our stay. This got difficult when sanitary bags were needed.The toilet paper was never replenished and we had ants all throughout the toilet even after we hosed it down.Our water was not refilled during the Villa clean either. When the bottles were empty I left these outside our villa to be refilled and placed back after. A few hours later the door bell rung then knocking at the door even with the privacy sign STILL up. The guy was only bringing back our water which he could have just left at our door in the same place I did and walked away.I fell sick and had to stay in Bali a few extra days then we planned so I asked the front desk if I could do some laundry. The turn around time was about 5-6 hours and cost $84 for 1kg.When the washing was complete the lady bought it back to our Villa. We had the privacy sign up as I was not well and needed to rest. However, she ignored this and rung the door bell until we answered. Again this could have waited or just left at our door.The next morning I checked my washing as it was check out day. 4 of my main items were still dirty or still had stains on them which were not attended to. All items seemed to have just been rinsed and dried. I was appalled at this since I was going to be charged $84.The last day we were at our Villa I needed a sleep in and to get more rest. 6:50am the pool fountain was turned on and woke us up when we told them at check in we don't want this on during our stay. When we called the front desk to turn it off, they didn't understand us properly and asked if we wanted it turned on.It was very difficult for the staff to understand what we are trying to explain each time. Very limited English for some.15mins later it was turned off.Disappointing stay and have already advised someone not to book here.

The coolest villa I've ever been to, the rooms are very aesthetically pleasing and the pool is gorgeous. I stayed in a room with a sky view, and it was breathtaking.a very recommended villa at an affordable price, I will definitely visit again!!!
