Nagano Prefecture is a place that brings back memories of when my mother was married.A memorable inn where my mother told me stories about when she was young. I want to go again.

This is an inn located deep in the mountains in the countryside. This is an inn with a nice atmosphere and a hearth.I came here for lunch, and I highly recommend the local cuisine. Especially the oyaki is very delicious. It is full of ingredients and grilled well in an irori hearth, making it a rare method of baking. The parking lot can accommodate about 10 cars, but since you can only use the hot springs, it may get a little crowded on Saturdays and Sundays.

If you are concerned about the smell of the rooms and the smell of glasses that are unique to old folk houses, I think the Mainichi series is a good idea.Other than that it's a very nice place♪

The area is a tranquil and mysterious village where the rural landscape of the countryside still remains. Yakimochiya, a public inn, is at the center of this, with its large thatched-roofed main building creating a fairy-tale-like worldview. The main building is entirely made of jet black wood, with a cut-out hearth and a dining area and Japanese-style rooms. It's comfortable to walk on the mirror-like glossy wooden floor without wearing slippers. The annex also has a folk art style, and most of the accommodation rooms are located here. I have been staying in Nagano for 30 years, and today's room is Hidaka on the first floor of the new building. A spacious Japanese-Western room with 2 S beds (Japanese 8 tatami mats + Western 8 tatami mats). A tranquil landscape of rice terraces and mountains can be seen beyond the hedge outside the window, but the view is better from a room on the second floor. I also like the simple dinner and breakfast, which mainly uses local ingredients. If you want to buy the famous ash-grilled oyaki as a souvenir, you can order it in advance during dinner or during the oyaki cafe time (11:00-13:40). You can also use the hot springs for a day trip (11:00-17:00) for ¥520 including tax.
