To find a hostel with a great price per night (2800 yen), very clean, comfy rooms and a really wonderful host is rare.Hiro's guesthouse accomplishes all these factors effortlessly to create a homely, relaxing and brilliant place to stay, (I'll definitely be back.)A very important factor for me staying anywhere is the bed (I love sleep)The bunk beds here are very comfy and big enough, I'm 6ft and it was perfectly big enough for me to stretch out. This also puts to Shame other hostels with underwhelming beds, all 1000-2000 yen more expensive than Hiro's so he's undercut the competition perfectly there. With a good shower and nice bathroom also, everything is great on that front. However I think the best thing about Hiro's guesthouse is well, Hiro himself.Hiro is an unfailingly, warm, helpful, great guy who goes above and beyond to help you out in any way he can.He has a wealth of knowledge about Osaka and a wide Range of different topics such as,Me and my friend asked Hiro for guidance on where to get some Wagyu steak and he utilised his wealth of knowledge to give us extremely helpful information of where to go,And we went and had a brilliant steak, all thanks to Hiro. When I stayed again for a night before going to Kansai Airport the following morning, he realised that it was raining heavily in the morning and wanted me to have one of his umbrellas even though I wasn't coming back. The hostel may be a little further out from central Osaka than other places but considering how good Osaka's transport network is and for all the reasons I've listed above, Hiro's Guesthouse is the place to be.The best Hostel I've stayed in while in Japan, somehow I don't think I'm going to find one better.I look forward to coming by to stay again in the future and having a cold beer with Hiro 😎The first one's on me 😉

Hiro is a very kind and welcoming host who will help you to make the most of your stay in Osaka. Since he knows the city very well it's always worth it to ask him for recommodations and advice. Being located in Korea Town, the guesthouse is the perfect base to explore the city. We've had a wonderful time, thank you!

Hiro's Guesthouse is about a 15-minute walk from the Tsuruhashi Station or Momodani Station but not a lot of cars are moving about so the roads are pretty open. …

As mentioned in other reviews, I felt that the attitude of the male staff (probably the owner) was certainly not good. I feel like they only care about their favorite customers and foreign customers... …

Stayed for 10 days in Ikuno Ward for research. ||Hiro, the owner of the guesthouse, introduced us to the main people in Tsuruhashi, and our network expanded in an instant. …
