Accommodation period: September 2024Reservation grade: Japanese-style room 6 tatami [non-smoking]Assigned room: Japanese-style room 4.5 tatami mats*Since I spend about 150 nights a year both in Japan and overseas, this is mostly a memorandum for myself. The main things to focus on are bathing, gym, and laundry. I don't really care about cleanliness.■OverviewFirst of all, there is a slight difference between the room I reserved and the room I was assigned. I should have noticed this and pointed it out at check-in, but although I had experience with room upgrades in the past, I had never experienced a "downgrade" without an explanation from the staff or a refund, so I was caught off guard. It seems that the hotel was fully booked on that day, but that doesn't mean they would downgrade a single guest without explanation... It would be fine if the 4.5 tatami room I was assigned had a nice view, but it was probably the room with the most subtle view. In any case, if you are staying alone, be sure to check carefully. It seems to be a relatively popular inn, so there is a possibility that the same thing will happen to you, especially if you are a solo guest.■LocationAbout 7 minutes walk from Oshidomari Ferry Terminal (and its bus stop). From Rishiri Airport, it seems the closest way is to take a bus to the ferry terminal, but you will need to climb a somewhat steep slope from the bus stop to the inn, so be careful if you have large luggage. The best place to buy food and drinks is Seicomart, which is about a 5-minute walk away. There are also several other local stores. There is a local supermarket called Kumiai Store on the way from the terminal to the hotel, and it is cheap to buy souvenirs there. For meals, there are two or three cafeterias in front of the terminal. We also recommend a Chinese restaurant called ``Waraumon''.■Indoor-Widthnarrow. It's okay if you just want to sleep...-scenerysubtle. The room I stayed in had a barely visible view of the ocean, but it probably had the worst view of all the rooms. There is a protrusion just to the right of the window that gets in the way. *See photo-WifiActual measurement DL160Mb/s, UL44Mb/s-bathtubNone in the roomThere is a shared bath (in terms of size, it's more like a medium bath than a large bath), and it's spacious and comfortable. Available hours are from 17:00 to 23:00. By the way, hot water is constantly being poured into the bathtub and circulated, so even though it is shared with others, the water is quite clean.*When taking a bath, there is a sign that says ``Bathing in progress'' to prevent others from entering, so you can comfortably enter by yourself. The view is good when it's bright.*There is also a shower room separate from the bathhouse, which can be used from 17:00 to 08:00 the next day.-Hot water temperatureNo problem at all, piping hot water comes out.-Power of hot waterThere is momentum-Bed hardnessHard (because it's a futon on tatami)-refrigeratorThe limit is two 2-liter plastic bottles, which are quite small.-Security boxcan be-Outletthere are some on the wall-hangerfour-balconynone-tv setYes, quite small-dryerNone in the room (I think it was in the shared bathroom...I don't use it so my memory is vague)-toothbrushLocated in the shared washroom-Noise (adjacent room, outdoor)No problem outdoorsThe walls in the next room are quite thin, so you can hear the people talking next door and the TV. It's not a problem if the person next to you has good manners, but if not, it can be difficult.■Gymnone■LaundryThere is a paid washing machine (100 yen/time, 200 yen/time, I don't remember) and a dryer. You can use the provided detergent for free. However, since the washing machine and dryer are located in the changing area of the bathhouse, it is troublesome that someone cannot enter and use the washing machine while using the bathhouse. When you finish using the washer or dryer and try to pick it up, you may not be able to get it while the bath is in use.■CleaningNot even for consecutive nights■MealsNo meals for overnight stay■StaffThe staff were not unfriendly and I didn't feel uncomfortable, but I did feel that they were a little unfriendly.■Others・There is a rental bike and cycle shop in front of the ferry terminal. You can choose between a road bike or a mama's bike, and you can rent one for the entire day for 1,500 yen. Don't expect too much from the maintenance situation.・No air conditioning, only a fan. However, even in early September, it was cool enough that I didn't have any problems even though I'm sensitive to heat.・To check out, just leave your key at the front desk.・The toilets are shared, but they are generally clean and no problems.- Smoking is supposed to be prohibited in the building, but I could smell cigarettes near the front desk.・There is a microwave oven in the 2nd floor hallway.
