I used it for my Gyakuuchi Walking Pilgrimage, and it has a roof and walls, a bath and a toilet (washlet), and it's a Zenken Inn where you can stay for free.

It's called Zenkon-juku for pilgrims. It's not a place where people can stay.It would still be better to stay in the wildThe store staff's response was the worst, and their stories and logic didn't work. Even the slightest question would cause them to become hysterical and try to call the police. You shouldn't go even if you make a mistake.

As soon as I arrived I entered the building next door asking for directions and they only responded with "No English".Without knowing what to do, I entered the Zenkoyado to wait for the owner and check-in. Half an hour later the man from the building next door came in shouting in English for me to leave and that he would call the police.I asked him again and all I got in response was more shouts for me to leave and that he would call the police.Inside the Zenkoyado were the check-in forms and the notebooks for the pilgrims' comments. I still don't understand what happened or if that man was in charge of the place. In all my time on the way to Shikoku I have never been treated this badly, I advise not going to this place to avoid problems
