It can be said that the accommodation costs are higher than others, and the facilities are old and outdated, but the room did not feel that way.

I wanna share this amazing resort I stayed in Japan with you.Kashiya is a hot springs resort in KatashinaVillage Gunma prefecture.Three hours train ride from Metropolitan Tokyo Shinjuku station. There's bullet train like Amtrak to get there, but I highly recommend taking a local train. Uncrowded local train let me enjoy the scenery.Bullet train cuts only half hour travel time though it's twice more expensive.Upon arrival, I asked for a water. They just gave me a glass and told me to help myself since all the water at the place was natural mineral water.I'm talking about their tap water! Can you believe that?I was even more surprised when I found out my everyday shower water was hot springs. No wonder why I felt better after taking a shower. Their hot springs helped me detox. And every meal, my stomach was filled with tasty locally grown organic dishes.Since I don't eat certain meat and seafood, I explained them that and they flexibly served me vegetable based local recipes. For vegetarians and vegans, unlike other places in Japan, they actually listens to your dietary restrictions and understands that.Water, air, soil, and kind people are making everything here so unique and special.I feel much more refreshed and feel healthy now. I had a stomach problem prior to visit. Now it's gone.Overcoming the distance from my home Brooklyn NY, I found a new destination for my next trip to Japan called Kashiya.Mariko Irisawa and Keisuke Irisawonder , thank you for your hospitality and clear explanations of what's making your resort and the entire village different from other ones in Japan.
