As you can see in other comments, it is certainly an "old type" hot spring inn. However, (of course it depends on the person), for someone around my age, it felt like ``a while ago, these kinds of inns were common,'' and the service was solid. You can watch TV for free, and there is no problem with Wi-Fi. I only had breakfast for breakfast, but it was the style I ate in my room. It was a bit of a problem that there was no safe in the room. The best part was that even though we were in the heat of August, we were able to stay cool without using an air conditioner. The hot spring was lukewarm, but the hot water in the public bath across the street was a nice 43 degrees hot.If you were to ask me if it was a comfortable inn that would satisfy everyone, I wouldn't say so, but I think this was a good thing.

The toilet is Japanese-style?! I booked a room with a bathroom because I'm a woman, but it says it's full of mold and I can't go in or use it!! The tap water smells like iron, the miniature light bulbs are out, the breakfast is poor. I booked because the reviews were good, but I regret it. Why are the reviews so good? Are you confusing it with another inn somewhere?

I think it would be impossible to judge this hot spring inn based on information obtained from the internet.I tried everything that everyone wrote and was convinced. It can't be helped that there are pros and cons because there are differences in values. For me, it was a perfect hot spring inn.I felt that it had a very detoxifying effect and somehow healed my body and mind.Physically, the building is beyond old and has fallen into disrepair. The hallways are creaky and leaking. The walls are peeling and the sliding doors have stains and tears. The carpet in the hallway is worn out and the doors don't close properly. The toilet is Japanese-style, the TV is a cathode ray tube and you can't hear well, the fittings in the room are covered in scratches, the teapot is missing, and the tatami mats are stained. But while I'm spending time, I don't care about that! As the check-out time approached, I didn't want to leave. The quality of the spring water is lukewarm, about 37 degrees, flowing directly from the source. You can take a bath 24 hours a day, but the temperature is slightly warmer than body temperature except during the heating time. However, after 10 minutes of soaking, it got so warm that I started sweating. Two callans and one shower. The changing room is spacious. When I went there, my hands were really chapped, but after taking a bath 5 times during my stay, I was surprised to see that the improvement was so great that I didn't even need to apply hand cream. However, to get to the bathroom, you have to go outside and go down and climb several flights of stairs, which may be difficult for people with walking disabilities. There was a comment that there was no key to the room, but there is a key that screws into the sliding door where you take off your slippers. These keys are rarely seen even in old houses, so most people may not notice them. When I turn off the TV, which has poor hearing, I listen intently to the sound of the river flowing in front of my room. The couple who live at the inn are kind and calm, and their children help with the work at the inn, and they are very polite and pleasant. We feasted on local food and things from our garden.Although it didn't look great or have a lot of volume, it was a menu that made me think, ``Oh, it's okay to eat like this on a regular basis. If I do that, I'm sure I'll stay healthy.''Above all, when I opened the bowl, I felt that just the white rice, which smelled sweet and warm, was a luxurious treat. The toilet in the room is Japanese style, but the toilet in the hallway is Western style. It didn't have a washlet, but it did have a heated toilet seat. The guest room was clean, but I gave it 4 stars because there were dead stink bugs and moths on the air conditioner attached to the window and on the window sill. The village was full of abandoned houses, so I was a little scared of the dead insects. lolGuests can bathe for free at the public bath across the street by taking the ticket left at the entrance. This is heated, so the temperature is always over 40 degrees. There's nothing for sale except for a vending machine for drinks outside the inn across the street, so if you want to eat sweets or something, you'll have to buy some. However, the rule is that you must take the trash you bring home with you.But that's only natural, so let's take it home without looking at it.This time, I found an inn that I thought was a good find.I want it to last forever!I was able to relax in the truest sense of the word.I will be visiting again, so please come again next time.Thank you very much for your time.

I was a little worried after hearing the previous reviews, but the toilet in the guest room was clean with a Western-style flush, the room was well-cleaned, and the futon didn't smell strange. I think the points raised have been properly improved.Although the food was small in number, it was homemade and delicious.Satisfied with the quantity.Unfortunately, the heating time for the bath in the morning is until 8 o'clock. If you have another hour, you can go in after breakfast. However, I felt comfortable soaking in the unheated Sasabune hot water.

Used for day trip bathing. You can rent out the boat bath for a regular fee of 500 yen. Advance notice required. No soap. The changing room was dusty, the bathroom was slimy, and the bathtub was slick. It's very lukewarm, so if you don't stay in it for an hour, you'll get cold. No heating.

◆First visit in November 2020I think it's an inn that appears in the old TV show "The Raggedy Inn" and will have mixed reviews. Not recommended for young people. Especially if you are a woman traveling alone, you should never stay overnight. There are no keys to the room, and you can access the bathroom from below, so you can totally see into it lol.Is this an inn where only old men like me who are looking for hot springs should stay?I love the hot springs because they are a simple alkaline hot spring flowing straight from the source.Basically, I give stars based on the quality of the hot water, but I gave it a 3 star considering the quality of the food, even though it costs a reasonable amount and is elaborate. This is just my personal opinion m(__)m

Although the building is quite old and the accommodation is not cheap, I don't think it's an inn that will appeal to everyone, but if you want to soak in the warm water and recuperate, I recommend it. In particular, the private bath, Sasafune Yu, was very fresh because even though the bathtub was small, there was a lot of hot water put into it.

It might not be a bad idea considering your dog can stay overnight. Please come when you want to feel the retro Showa era.It might be difficult if you don't have that intention. The food was delicious. The fried rainbow trout noodles were exquisite. As I was walking my dog from another inn, I could smell the scent of matsutake mushrooms, so I wanted to try matsutake dishes as well. The hot springs are also very good.I went in about three times outside of the heating time, but by the time I got there I was pretty warm.Heating is an additional charge. Maybe it can't be helped in this day and age.The oil fan heater cost 300 yen.The toilet is Japanese-style, and there was a Western-style one in the hallway, but it felt like a Japanese-style toilet had been renovated and a Western-style toilet seat was inserted into it, so it was very narrow. There was no refrigerator or safe, and the rooms couldn't be locked, so we took turns using the hot springs. Is the public bath a washing area? There's only one, so I have no choice but to go when no one is there. I thought soThere was no need to worry as there was only one other group staying there besides us.Any items lost by your dog or trash brought in must be taken home with you.A bag that doesn't leak odors is a must.If you stay with this information, you will be 100% satisfied. The area around the inn has the atmosphere of an abandoned village, with abandoned cars and the site of a medical clinic, so I think it would be fun to try it out!I wanted to take my dog for a walk around the back, but my dog didn't like it so I could only go halfway.Maybe the dog saw something. There is a communal bath nearby, and it costs 200 yen for adults and 100 yen for children. If you stay, you will receive a free ticket. This is the size of two large baths. Please note that there is no soap, shampoo, or hair dryer.

I used it for the first time.Modern people cannot understandI think everything is from the Showa era!The TV has a CRT, no cooler. The room was also very dark. Even though it's summer, outside the windowThe natural coolness of the flowing river and the comfort of the hot springstemperature. For those who imagine a ryokan in Atami etc.You should definitely quit.By the way, I was able to spend a comfortable time there.
