As a lover of lukewarm baths, I have often visited Kutsukake Onsen, Tazawa Onsen, and the Oshio Onsen public bath located just east of Rokukoyu Onsen. This time, I decided to spend the night at Kanoya Ryokan in Kutsukake Onsen, which I had been interested in for a long time!In conclusion, I now have one more favorite inn that I want to stay at regularly! !Kanoya Ryokan is an inn that the current owner and his wife renovated from a closed down inn and opened it several years ago as a ryokan specializing in overnight stays. The bathroom was as per the previous information. It's not very spacious, or rather, it has two narrow baths, one for two people and one for three people, which can be rented out for an hour. Some people may think, “!However, for people like my husband and I, who only need hot water (and we love lukewarm water!), the feel of hot water, the faint sulfur smell, the foam, and the perfect insensible temperature of 34 degrees Celsius! Everything was so great! !In large inns, there is a bathtub with natural hot spring water and a bathtub with boiling hot water, but here we have a bathtub with natural hot spring water and an insensible temperature!I knew that the hot water at Kutsukake Onsen was good because I had been to the public bath, Kokura-no-yu (you can take a bath here for a whopping 200 yen!!) many times, but the husband and wife who ran the inn were also very nice. He was a very pleasant person, and I felt very comfortable not only in the hot water but also in terms of my feelings!Although we specialize in overnight stays, there is an izakaya or restaurant next door, and you can eat there if you make a reservation in advance. Also, there are very few restaurants nearby where you can eat dinner, but there is a 7-Eleven about 10 minutes away by car, so you can buy various things there, so it's not particularly inconvenient. There was also a restaurant next to the 7-Eleven that was open at night.By the way, for dinner, my wife and I bought bento boxes at 7-Eleven, and for lunch we bought boiled corn, Shine Muscat, and apples (both bought in the city) at the roadside station in Aoki Village (near 7-Eleven). It was much cheaper!)By the way, this roadside station has quite a variety of vegetables and fruits. In the fall, there is a big sale of matsutake mushrooms, so it's always crowded! !The communal kitchen at the inn is free to use at any time, and is stocked with a wide variety of plates and wraps. Beverages such as teahouse coffee are provided free of charge. Of course, it is fully equipped with a microwave and toaster. I was there. In fact, some people even cooked and ate their dinner here. There are many other wonderful pointsFirst of all, there are comic books in the hallways on both the 1st and 2nd floors. What's more, it wasn't the usual stuff you'd find at a manga cafe, but rather new items that the husband and his wife had probably purchased. Also, it's very clean and has no loose ends! There is a hall on the 2nd floor, which is also very atmospheric and wonderful! To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, each room has its own private toilet. To say the least, it was an amazing stay.I am grateful that I was able to find an inn that I am sure I will visit regularly, following Kabutoyu Onsen Sansuiro in Nanasawa Onsenkyo in Kanagawa Prefecture, which I visited before summer and decided to stay as a regular. It was a great weekend.By the way, according to Google Maps, there is a Taiyaki restaurant called "Taihachi" that is located right next to the inn. It's a little different from being super delicious, but you can enjoy the unique texture, so please stop by. recommend to.
