One person used it the other day. I walked from the Aoki bus stop, but it was a bit of a struggle because I had luggage, the weather was perfect, and there was no shade, so it was uphill, but if I didn't have luggage, I think it would have been a wonderfully scenic journey. The accommodation we arrived at was amazing to say the least! I was politely informed in advance that the owner of the sake brewer was not home and that I was the only guest (surprise!), but the elegant and kind landlady and the cheerful and cheerful hostess... The young proprietress welcomed us warmly. We had a plan to choose the room at the inn, but we were given a room at Fujimura Room! (Moved (crying))The two rooms are historic and formal, and there is a verandah by the window, and the view is wonderful, leaving you impressed...Although it is a historic room, there is good Wi-Fi, you can drink coffee from the coffee server, and the futon is already set. It was laid out, fluffy and fluffy...the gentle breeze and the scent of the trees...it was soothing. And hot springs! As rumored, the temperature is gentle on the skin and the scent of sulfur is pleasant...The open-air bath is cool, and you can stay there for hours with just the sound of the nightingale and the wind. After relaxing in the hot springs, you can cool off in your room and enjoy your meal.I was able to call my room around 6pm.The stairs at Fujimura-no-ma are steep, so I took my time to get down there, and when I saw the noren curtain hanging at the entrance to the designated dining room, I took a seat with high expectations. This time, I ordered the sake mariage, and it was amazing! ! Starting with turbid sake, Junmai, Junmai Daiginjo, summer sake, and finally yogurt sake to go with dessert! 12 types of rare alcohol! It's irresistible for Japanese sake lovers. Also, the young proprietress carefully explained to me what food and alcohol go well together, and the sake brewer talked to me about it, making it a very comfortable and enjoyable meal! The meals are carefully prepared, using plenty of local specialties, and are all perfect companions for sake! Since it's May, the wild vegetable tempura and small bowls are so delicious...the rare acacia flowers...and the carp! Koi with kelp...It was a delicious dinner that I can't say enough about. If I was full or couldn't drink all the alcohol, they would bring it to my room, where I could relax and enjoy sweet carp and sake Toyoka, and have dessert at Yogurt Sake Shino Daichi. After that, I took a relaxing bath in the hot springs and slept soundly. In the morning, I got a ticket and went to the hot spring bath. I soaked in the hot springs while mingling with the locals, enjoying the bubbles sticking to my arms, and then returned to my hotel and enjoyed my last hot spring bath.Breakfast starts at 8:00 and goes directly to the dining room. The dishes were delicious and gentle in small bowls, the beans were very delicious, and we started eating local ingredients such as young sweetfish (the rice was sweet and delicious). I had some coffee in my room and got ready and checked out, feeling like I didn't want to go home.Even when I was checking out, the landlady came out, kindly listened to my story, and took photos for me.I was really impressed by how responsive she was. On the way back, the young proprietress took me to the bus stop and recommended a liquor store.Alone in a quiet, historic hot spring inn deep in the mountains, with Japanese sake, delicious food, and great service...you'll feel so relieved...I would also like to hear from you. Thank you for the indescribable impression!

This is an almost perfect inn with a historic building that is a tangible cultural property, fresh hot springs, delicious food, warm service, and a low price. It goes without saying that the building and hot springs are great, but the special points were that the food was very delicious, made with plenty of local seasonal ingredients, and the scenery was spectacular. (The view may depend on the room)As for the food, I was impressed by the abundance of river fish (especially carp), which had no odor at all.By the way, when I walked from Aoki Bus Terminal to the hotel, it was very beautiful to see cherry blossoms and other flowers in full bloom. It depends on the season and weather, but if you don't have any problems with your legs or back, we recommend walking.postscript:When I went back in the summer, I was bitten by insects all over the place while I was sleeping.Earth no mat in your room? However, it may be a good idea to bring bug repellent with you and use it before going to bed.

A place where you can travel back in time and forget about your everyday life for a moment. It was extremely relaxing. This historic wooden inn is a great place to stay. It's an escape from shitty days. (It's foolish to assume it's going to be a luxury hotel, so check out the website and get an idea of what it's like before making a reservation!)The hot springs are lukewarm. Eh, it's wet! That was my first impression, but even after taking a long bath, I didn't feel tired at all, and when I finally got out of the bath, I felt somehow warm and comfortable. It was a strange experience. The rice is plentiful and includes meat, fish, and vegetables, all made with fresh local ingredients. Especially the cooked meat was really delicious, so please try it.However, the amenities are not so good, so it is better to bring your own shampoo etc.

This is a historical and valuable wooden inn.It seems that maintaining a building while retaining its old charm is quite a challenge. It will be difficult, but please continue to do your best so that as many people as possible can stay at Masuya Ryokan. Also, everyone who served customers was polite and had a smile on their faces. thank you for helping me.If you would like to make improvements, please dispose of the old shampoo in the bathroom and clean the sink.

Thanks to the kindness of the inn, we were able to stay at the historic Fujimura-no-ma. We were able to enjoy the hot springs flowing directly from the source for private use, allowing us to relax in luxury. The delicious food and courteous customer service also left a good impression, giving it a 5 star rating.

The food is delicious, but I personally think the portions are large and the overall flavor is strong.I used a computer, but it was difficult to get a power supply.I used an extension cord I had on hand, but it would have been better to have one that was longer than 2m.The bath was warm, which I personally liked.Overall it was good

I can only recommend this place. Lovely decorated traditional Ryokan with a top class service, onsen and rooms. Highlight is definitely the dinner & breakfast served by the hotel, ensure you book in advance as there’s limited space. I will definitely come back when in Nagano.

I stayed here on a solo trip for the first time in a year.Like last year, I visited Reisenji Temple and Rokukyoyu after taking a ladder bath.A wooden inn with an atmosphere designated as a cultural property.Stay warm with a kotatsu and a hot water bottle while feeling the slight breeze. The food is Japanese, but it's quite elaborate and the meal is fun.The outdoor bath is a bit cold during this season, but the indoor bath is perfectly lukewarm. The sulfur springs are drinkable and have a strong egg flavor. The view of Ueda from the third floor of the wooden building is very beautiful.Although it is possible to stay alone, there are many couples.Highly recommended.

If you like hot springs, you can't miss this three-story wooden inn, which is one of the largest in Japan. I was surprised to learn that in the past there was an annex and it was even bigger than it is now. What is noteworthy is the main building built in the Meiji period, which is now a preserved building with no glass windows on the third floor and only shoji screens (in the past, there was also a second floor). In other words, it is a rare inn that preserves cultural properties as they were during the Meiji period.Compared to the past, the toilets and sinks have been renovated and are now easier to use.We also recommend visiting the nearby pagodas of Daihoji, Anrakuji, and Maeyamaji.
