This is my second stay here. The dishes, which are made with plenty of local ingredients, are very delicious and highlight the concept of the ryokan. …

The facilities are old and the stairs are steep, making it especially difficult for small children, the elderly, and people with a lot of luggage. There is no humidifier in the room, so I think it would be more comfortable if you installed one.The hot springs are very good. Personally, I thought it was better than Beppu and Kusatsu.*We do not recommend using the open-air bath in winter. Because the temperature of the source is low, you will catch a cold.

Nagano trip. My favorite Hirugami Onsen. I arrived during the peach blossom season. The building is quite old and is a retro inn reminiscent of the Showa era. The rooms are only old-fashioned Japanese-style rooms.Although the hot spring is small, there is a long open-air bath that is open 24 hours a day, so you can enjoy Hirugami's hot springs, which are like a creamy serum, any time of the day. What is especially noteworthy is the hostess's hospitable customer service and the food prepared by the host! The food, made with locally sourced ingredients, was truly amazing. Everything was delicious, but I was especially surprised by the wild vegetables. This is the first time I have had such delicious wild vegetables! The radish shochu ``Akane-chan'' made with Akane daikon radish grown in Achi Village was also so delicious that I became a fan. This is a great ryokan that has all the triple points of hot springs, food, and customer service that I would definitely like to stay at again.

A traditional ryokan with its own onsen. Nori-san and Kikumi-san are the warmest hosts you could wish for. Japanese breakfast and, if desired, dinner are extremely tasty.

This is an inn with a friendly host and landlady. The customer service of other staff members is also polite and pleasant. The rooms are average but clean enough. The food was full of ingredients from the mountains that I had never heard of before, had a large variety of dishes, and was elaborate and very delicious. In terms of facilities, the building's design is old and the stairs are a bit steep, so elderly people should be careful. The quality of the hot spring water is good and the water flows directly through it. Because of this, the water in the open-air bath in winter is lukewarm, so I think it might be a bit cold, so I warmed up in the indoor bath. This inn is recommended for those who want to feel the warmth of the countryside.
