I was cycling and it was pouring down with 5km/200m left to Lake Shirakaba, but luckily I saw a sign nearby, took shelter from the rain, and stopped while eating curry nanban🍜The woody interior resembles that of a mountain lodge cafe, with paintings and accessories on display, and the wife speaks in a friendly manner, making you feel at ease. I have used the restaurant several times, but only once a year. In addition to Shinshu soba, which is a staple around this area, you can also enjoy curry. I have been driving along the national highway many times and have been thinking about stopping by someday for over 10 years, but I was finally able to visit it.I ordered a set of keema curry and soba noodles, and the spiciness of the curry was medium spicy. Coupled with the texture of the brown rice, I ended up eating mainly curry, but personally, the flavor didn't stand out that much, and I was able to enjoy the taste of the soba (I didn't soak it in the soba soup too much). .I think I came without breakfast, but I had a great time sitting on the terrace under the umbrella and enjoying the cool breeze from the mountain pass.I thought I would have to pay in cash, but I was grateful that they accepted electronic money and barcode payments.【access】It faces National Route 152, and the parking lot can accommodate about 10 cars. It is a route that connects Suwa and Ueda, and also takes you to Lake Shirakaba and Kirigamine, so be careful when entering and exiting. Especially if you are coming from the Suwa/Lake Shirakaba side, there is a parking lot at the end of the left curve on the downhill slope, and visibility is somewhat poor. It may be difficult to see them from the cars that come out after the meal, so it might be better to be careful of each other.

Stopped in on the way to Nagano drive. We have a small staff, so it may take some time to serve food during busy times.It was an unusual combination of soba and curry, but the beef tendon curry had a gentle taste and didn't interfere with the soba.I would like to try the keema curry next time I go.
