As of December 25, 2023, it seems that the company is still closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.I would definitely like to stay the night once business resumes.

An eye-catching building on the approach to Hasedera Temple is Gansenkaku, which was founded in the late Meiji period. This is a historic inn that was visited by Kyoshi Takahama and Akiko Yosano.

This is a post about my stay 25 years ago...Sorry I don't have any photos...I didn't have a smartphone at the time, so all I remember is finding this inn from a guidebook, and I had forgotten the name and location of the inn, but the reason was that I found it online and thought, "This is it!"I don't think the building or rooms have changed much. You'll feel like you've stepped back in time. The old man and woman who run the place are very kind and it feels like you are staying at a relative's house.I remember a time when a snake appeared in a retro bath (I don't know what it is like now), but the couple had a hard time noticing that it was clinging to the wall, so I had to chase it away with a stick and they made a big fuss.I have nostalgic memories. The breakfast was homemade by my grandmother and was very delicious, and even though I was 20 years old and naive at the time, I knew it was of high quality.Enoden and Daibutsu are also nearby, and I remember walking to Zeniarai Benten. The location is also nice.I wanna go there again.

This is the inn where manga artist Yoshiharu Tsuge, known for his surreal work ``Nejishiki,'' stayed in ``Kamakura Zuiho'' in his famous essay ``Poverty Travelogue.'' I wonder if I can still stay the night.

It may be a series of surprises for people who are used to staying at city hotels and for young people. …
