Although it is a recreational facility run by the Honda Pension Fund, it is also available to non-members (although the prices vary considerably). There are dense forests and golf courses in the surrounding area, and the grounds are rich in nature and are equipped with walking paths, making it perfect for recreation. There is also a laundry/heated pool/squash court/bar/kids room/table tennis hall/conference room within the area. This time, I booked a Japanese-style room in the main building, and the room was 8 tatami mats + bathroom + balcony, which was enough for two people. And, this time it was sunny and I could see Mt. Fuji from my room, which was amazing! The bath is attached to the main building, and it's quite spacious and relaxing with an indoor bath, an open-air bath, and a dry sauna.Dinner is Japanese food at the restaurant, and the courses are delicious with appetizers, sashimi, simmered dishes, grilled on a ceramic plate, tempura, etc., mainly consisting of summer vegetables.Alcohol was also reasonably priced, so we enjoyed Gotemba Kogen Beer, and there was even a dessert buffet, with cakes, fruits, ice cream, and more to choose from.Breakfast is buffet style at the same venue. There are quite a few different types of Japanese/Western food, so it's easy to get confused, but I enjoyed the Japanese dishes, such as porridge, giblets, salad, fried eggs, and simmered dishes. It was only one night, but I was able to relax and get away from everyday life!!↓Past↓Pavila Gotemba is a member facility operated by the Honda Pension Fund. The property is surrounded by lush forests and a golf course, and has a walking path, tennis courts, and various accommodation facilities (main building, detached building, maisonette, log house).(Inside the main building there is a laundry/heated pool/squash court/bar/kids room/table tennis hall/conference room, etc.)This time, I booked a Japanese-style room in the main building, which was quite spacious for two people with 8 tatami mats, 6 tatami mats, bath and toilet, and balcony. As a precautionary measure against the coronavirus, I decided to lay out my own futon. If it's sunny, Mt. Fuji will rise right in front of you. . . Unfortunately it's raining... there's nothing we can do about it.There are baths attached to the main building, both of which are quite spacious.(I couldn't use the sauna due to the coronavirus...oh no)For dinner, we had reserved a Japanese meal at a restaurant, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Summer dinner Japanese food includes appetizers, sashimi, simmered dishes, ceramic platter grilling, tempura, etc.In addition, the drinks are reasonably priced, so you can enjoy beer and sake. Even more surprising was the dessert buffet. . . It's all I can do. . .Breakfast the next morning is a buffet style with a mix of Japanese and Western style, with a wide variety of options to choose from. . .I made the mistake of taking the yam and the hot spring egg and turning it into bread (pumpkin, charcoal, strawberry, colorful...) lolI only stayed for one night, but I was able to relax and get away from everyday life!
