24.10 Used for walking pilgrimage. The facilities are excellent, and the rooms are well-organized. I did not participate in the morning service because I had to leave early.

This review will only be useful for budget travelers who spend their nights in tents rather than staying in hotels. I’m one of them. I’ve been on my walking pilgrimage for 18 days, and every night I’ve slept in a tent because I can’t afford to pay for hotels.Long story short, if you’re a budget traveler, you can do your laundry at this hotel. Washing costs 300 yen (detergent is provided), and drying is 100 yen for 30 minutes. Also, if you ask very nicely, as I did, they may allow you to take a shower and soak in the hot bath for free, provided no one else is using it at that time. I came at noon, and there was no one in the onsen. So, while my clothes were washing, I enjoyed hot water for the first time in 18 days of my journey.

I used it on July 26, 2024 for my walking pilgrimage. It was a lodging at Iwamotoji temple, and the room, bath, and toilet were clean. There is also a drug store and supermarket nearby, which is convenient. I was not able to participate in the morning service this time, but according to the people who attended, they said, ``It will be a valuable experience, so you should attend!!''thank you very much!

Interesting experience to stay inside a temple area. Rooms are clean, meals taste delicious (not vegatarian meals). But very recommended to stay during new year period as you can experience a bunch of traditional japanese new year activities inside a temple.

I used the lodging for just one night. We have had to make various changes at short notice, and we are grateful for your flexible response each time. The room, bath, and toilet were very clean and it was a very nice stay. The location was good as there was a drug store nearby and a large supermarket just a short walk away. Since it's next to the railroad tracks, I could see the Tosa Kuroshio Railway very clearly and had a lot of fun. I also participated in the morning service, which was a valuable experience. thank you very much!
