Had an absolutely fantastic stay! We stayed in The Whale Room, a large room with a mini kitchen and a large roof terrace. Would heartily recommend eating both breakfast and dinner there as well, we were served absolutely fantastic food.

Everything was amazing!!Naho and Mayumi were so nice and the traditional Japanese breakfast they made was delicious. They were sooooo nice, and they even prepared everything before I came up with. Naho also helped me when the schedule of whale watching tour was changed due to bad weather. I really appreciate their help and the nice place. The shared-bathrooms were clean and tidy.I also enjoyed the room with tatami. Staying in Zamami was relaxing, especially at Yadokari :)I highly recommend Yadokari. I was very comfortable during the two days I stayed there. The Tatami in the Japanese-style room smelled very good and the mattress was good to sleep on. Even though it was windy and rainy two days before Zamami, it felt like a typhoon was coming, but I stayed there for a long time. Comfortable.Yadokari seems to be a B&B with mainly Japanese, European and American guests. The B&B owners are very kind and willing to help in emergencies. They have prepared many things that have not been thought of in advance, which makes people feel at ease and also Loved the time chatting with them, they are genuine people. The Japanese breakfast is very delicious, and it seems that you can also purchase an additional dinner (there are not many restaurants in the Ama area where you can have dinner)Although the bathroom and toilet are shared, they are neat and clean, and there are also public hair dryers (and public hats hahahaha). The first floor is a dining area, which can also be used by residents. Not disadvantaged, but should be considered *It takes 20 minutes to walk from Yadokari to the main village, Zamami region, where the port is. It was quite dark when walking from Zamami back to Ama region. Renting bike in winter times in Ama region was not that easy.I enjoy walking along the quiet road, but not in the rainy days :)Yadokari provided transportation from port when check-in/out.*Not a disadvantage, but you can still consider it when choosing Yadokari*The B&B is not located in the Zamami area where the port is located. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the port, but it is very quiet along the way. The walk is actually not bad, but there are no street lights, and it is actually quite dark when walking at night. Especially one day it happened to be windy and rainy, so it was a bit hard to walk back, but because it was not located in the central area where the grocery store and visitor center are, I felt particularly quiet and comfortable :)There may not be that many shops open in winter, so there is no bicycle rental shop near the B&B.The B&B provides port pick-up service once upon check-in and once upon check-out.

I was very satisfied with the food, atmosphere, facilities, and hospitality. It was my first time visiting this island for two days and one night, but unfortunately it rained. Especially on the second day, it was raining heavily from the morning, so I was worried about what to do after checking out. However, at breakfast, the landlady made a pleasant suggestion: ``We'll send you off in time for the ferry, so you can relax in your room until then.'' I was very grateful.I wasn't able to see the beautiful sea or meet the sea turtles, but I'll look forward to that next time. It was a relaxing two days on a southern island.

We absolutely loved our stay at Minshuku Yadokari! Their hospitality is so warm and accommodating. First off, uncle picked us up for the port with a cutely decorated hand-drawn sign when we arrived by ferry. When we got to the guesthouse, auntie cheerily greeted us and gave us a tour of the facilities and everything was so clean and well maintained. Our hosts were so warm and friendly, ever ready to tell stories during breakfast or dinner. They have been hosting for 20 years and truly enjoy what they do.Highly recommend opting in for the meals because their meals were so delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and well-seasoned. Having home-cooked meals was so comforting after traveling or exploring all day and it was a great way to get to know the owners and other guests. As for the location, I prefer it to staying in the town itself. The guesthouse is a two minute walk to Ama Beach and in a quieter area. Though, the 20 minute walk to town is a lot in the hot sun but there is a place close by that rents bikes. If you stay in the main town, you would still have to walk either 20 minutes to Ama or Furuzamami beach. This was the highlight of our trip to Japan and counting down the days till we can come back!

Such a nice place to stay. Really welcoming hosts and perfect location. I would definetly recommend to have breakfast and dinner there because there are not that many options on the islands. Also my request for vegan food was accepted. I had some delicious homecooked meals.

*Definitely stay here! !The wife and staff are friendly and polite. The people at the rental shop are also courteous. Ama Beach is a 1 minute walk away. The food is insanely delicious. The toilet is washlet and clean. Although the facility is a bit old, it is kept well-kept.The blueness of Ama Beach. The night sky is beautiful and there are shooting stars. We also saw a lot of turtles. Lots of green. A walk with a cat.Zamami Island is full of negative ions. Definitely worth coming!I have stayed at hundreds of hotels and inns, but this is the best! !I felt relieved! ! Thank you to the staff! !Both the islanders and nature are wonderful! !May the nature of Zamami be protected forever
