Such a fantastic experience staying here, I would highly recommend taking the time to stay at least a night on Mt Mitake. The service was phenomenal and the rooms were spacious and excellent.I would recommend getting the dinner, as it was delicious, and there isn't anything open late on the mountain. The Japanese breakfast was great too, and a good way to start the day.The private onsen was also a nice touch and very relaxing after spending time at Mitake.Just note that there are some very uphill areas to get to the accommodation, but it's absolutely worth it.

Really lovely place. Takes *ages* to get there by public transport from Tokyo, but worth the time. Beautiful location, nice traditional rooms with balconies, kind and helpful staff, amazing food - I paid extra for vegan dinner and breakfast, it was all thoughtful and delicious. You can also visit the shrine for a morning ceremony if you arrange it the night before. Would love to go again.

When I asked about it, they happily told me that it would take about 15 minutes.Thank you for listening to my selfish concerns. It was the best inn out of all the inns I chose. Also, if you have a chance, I will help you.I can only thank you for taking me to the station during the typhoon.

Really good remote Ryokan on the top of a famous mountain. Great service and amazing location. You need to take cable car up to the village and have a bit of an uphill walk after, so heavy bags are not a good idea. I’ll go back in the Winter when the snow will make it even more beautiful.

I visited this ryokan in the summer of 1990 with my parents. It was my favourite place to stay on our trip to Japan and luckily for us we were the only ones in the hotel at the time. I am happy to see it is still thriving!
