A Japanese style hotel, a ryokan, with a sento pond with a mountain view on the bottom floor. Walk about 500 meters from the cable station. It's not difficult to find. If you reserve, the owner will write the guest's name on the sign in front of the ryokan. The rooms are spacious, soft and fragrant mattresses, have air conditioning, TV, refrigerator, and delicious dinners. The famous menu is konjac sashimi. There is beer, sawanoi sake, delicious food. In the morning there is a hearty breakfast. Especially rice cooked with chestnuts. The owner is cute. On the way back, when it rained, we had the car take us to the cable station.

I had always wanted to stay at a ``shukubo'' (shukubo), but by chance I decided to stay there. We were taken care of by Nohori, a lodging inn on Mt. Mitake.I was caught in a huge traffic jam on the Chuo Expressway and had to check in just before sunset, but they welcomed me kindly. You will be led to a clean and spacious Japanese-style room, and the view outside will be deep green, which is hard to believe that you are in Tokyo. If you thought it would be like taking a bath, relaxing, and then having a quick dinner, you were wrong! It's coming out, it's coming out, it's coming out, it's coming out, it's coming out! Creative cuisine! Even local sake (lol)! Each item is made with great care, and they do a great job! I was very impressed. My stomach was bloated, I was moderately drunk, and I slept comfortably.I was able to experience the essence of omotenashi.Even though I'm in Tokyo, I felt strangely refreshed.Unlike Mt. Takao, Mt. Mitake has an authentic mountain and is very rewarding to hike. This is definitely a repeat purchase.

Beautiful guesthouse at Mitake. The building is recently renovated but retains a traditional style, rooms are big and spacious, and the service is fantastic. We stayed for one night and had dinner and breakfast, both of which were beautifully cooked and presented. While in Mitake we went to the Hinode Matsuri festival, which was happening the night and morning we were there-- and proved to be a great experience, which we would not have had if we had not been kindly invited by our hosts at this guesthouse.Absolutely recommend.
