Is it open as an inn? I had Matsugae Mochi here. There are several Matsugae mochi shops on the approach leading from Miyajidake Shrine, and they serve baked mochi of almost the same shape, but I was drawn to Osakaya because of its very historic appearance. I tried it.I didn't try all of them, I only compared them at two stores, but the Matsugae mochi here was really delicious with its mildly sweet bean paste and slightly bitter mugwort flavor! I think adults like this one.I only bought two items, but it was great that they were so kind to me. I want to eat it again!

The middle-aged man baking the rice cakes has a very rude attitude, so you should be careful. It ruined my travel mood. If you want to buy mochi, we recommend you to buy it along the approach to the shrine.

Every year when we went to New Year's visit, we would all eat one freshly baked Matsugae mochi here, and we would also buy a large quantity and enjoy it at home. By the time I could remember, that was the standard, so I probably went there for about 10 years. The best things about this place are the exquisite sweetness of the bean paste, the scent of mugwort, and most importantly, the fact that it's hand-baked. But now it has become a machine. The taste is not much different from other stores. It seems like the store has changed. (Maybe it's a generational change?) I'm very disappointed.

After comparing the flavors, I liked the Matsugae mochi from Coco the best! It feels heavy and delicious in your hand. The sweetness of the bean paste is just right.

Two types of Matsugae mochi, mugwort and white, cost 120 yen each. It's chewy and voluminous, which is my favorite! Also, personally, I really like the atmosphere of the building. Thank you for the meal!
