It will be used for a walking pilgrimage in May 2024. After visiting Iwamotoji Temple No. 37, we stayed overnight. Conveniently located near Kubokawa Station and close to Iwamotoji Temple. The building itself seems to be old, but the toilets and baths have been renovated and there are no problems.

It was reasonably priced and very comfortable. The bath and toilet were also renovated, so they were very clean and safe to use.It was reasonably priced compared to other accommodations. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much in terms of performance, but I'm very grateful that I was able to stay so comfortably.I think this is the only place to stay in Shimanto town!

I used it on a family trip. With a prime location right in front of JR Kubokawa Station, you'll love the atmosphere of a traditional, relaxing inn.The bathtub was made of Takano Maki, and for me, who is 164cm tall, it was just big enough for me to stretch my legs. The water is deep enough that you can soak up to your shoulders and relieve your fatigue. There are also two washing areas. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap were also provided. Some face towels are also provided in the changing room. However, the stairs to the bathroom are quite steep. There are handrails, but people with disabilities and children need to be careful. The toilet was shared, but it was a beautiful Western-style toilet with a washlet. There was also a smoking room for smokers. There is a water server in the hallway at the top of the stairs to the second floor, and an electric kettle with hot water, a microwave, a toaster oven, and stick tea in the hallway to the left, so you can enjoy whatever you like in your room. It seemed possible to eat something. There is a sink with a gas water heater at the end of both hallways, so you can brush your teeth and wash your face there.Due to the layout of the room, it is easy to hear noise, so it is better to move around and open/close the door quietly. The room I stayed in had a built-in TV, air conditioner, dressing table, refrigerator, and hair dryer. There's nothing in the refrigerator. There's also a clothesline and hangers, so you can dry small items of laundry.I stayed with two meals, dinner and breakfast, and there was a bowl of rice that I could replace, so it was just the right amount. The rice was just delicious. After dinner, I was told that there was an illumination display at a nearby water mill, so I took a leisurely stroll and took a look.

I stayed here for 2 nights because my legs were hurting from walking for about 20 days from Reizanji Temple. It was a small but comfortable inn. The atmosphere of the city is nice, so we recommend using this as a base for exploring.
