Shiraki Inn

Although it is an old inn, the guest rooms and toilets had been renovated and were clean.However, at best, it was free, but at worst, it felt like being left alone.This was my first time using the hotel as I had to stay overnight suddenly, but the only thing I was told was, ``The bath is boiling,'' and the location of the bath was right after entering the room. I thought I'd have to look at the guide map and see for myself, and since there was no explanation about the baths, I didn't know if there were men's or women's baths or not, so I decided to go anyway (hmm, you have to lock each one before entering). (Do I leave the hot water unplugged? Or do I just drain it and put a new one in?) There was no toilet sign on the toilet door (you should check the room map for yourself), so I didn't get angry or anything. There were a lot of funny things about breakfast, and I didn't know if I was going to eat in the dining room or in my room without any explanation, so when I went to the dining room after asking other customers, I found that the side dishes were prepared and it was self-service, and the bread was left in the bag. I think it means that you can bake it as you like, spread it with jam, and eat it.Anyway, it felt like I was back at my parents' house, and for better or worse, it felt homely.It seemed like there were a lot of people who used the inn many times for work or for long-term stays, so it was definitely full of regulars, so it felt like a homely inn.It was a bit confusing for first-time visitors, but it was a ryokan where you could feel the good nature of the people who live in the countryside.

I stayed here for the same reason as last year when I was on a business trip to Kumamoto.Conveniently located, there is a popular local store Sunroad, Family Mart, home center DCM, and a pachinko parlor right in front of the door.Town doctor, izakaya, snack bar, yakiniku restaurant😁It's located in the center of Asagiri town, so you won't have any inconvenience during your long stay! ️Breakfast is buffet style and dinner is meat and fish dishes. I'm satisfied with the food 😁Both the wife and part-time worker are friendly and comfortable 😊Depending on the room, car noise may be a problem⁉️, but the price is cheap so you can break it down⁉️Please note that all rooms are smoking rooms 😉On weekdays, it's almost full due to construction workers, but on weekends there are some spaces available, so I recommend it! ️I happened to catch a glimpse of Kanachoro 🪱 that stuck to the window of the guest room 📸

The equipment is aging, but other than thatThe food is delicious and it's a good value for the money.

When you walk into the room, it feels like your grandmother's home! The retro public telephone next to the entrance of the inn gives it a very retro feel! It's a bit difficult for women to enter the restrooms as they are shared by men and women! Dinner was plentiful and delicious!

Recommended for long business trips.In the summer, barley tea is available.
