This campsite has areas from 1 to 4 levels, and even if you are visiting for the first time, the manager will give you a detailed explanation so you don't have to worry. In particular, the view from the campsite is spectacular, and I think it's a location you won't find anywhere else. I stayed on the 4th tier and it was a little difficult to carry my luggage from the parking lot, so I recommend keeping your luggage as light as possible.

I was using it on a weekday, so I had a quiet night. Although it was only for a short time at night, the clouds cleared and we were able to see the night view and the starry sky.

I used it for my first solo campaign.Although we camped during the hot midsummer period, the wind was cool and quiet at night, and we could see a panoramic view of Makabe and Sakuragawa city. The receptionist is kind and the ashes will be disposed of on site.Of course, if you choose a campsite with a better view, you will be tired from climbing up and down mountain trails.

Although the campsite was closed, it is also the starting point for the campsite course for climbing Mt. Tsukuba. The toilets along the forest road were available for use.Currently, the Fukamine sidewalk at the site of the youth hostel is currently closed to traffic due to construction (until the end of March 2020).2022/9/21 revisitThis time we started at the campsite and walked Mt. Tsukuba.Revisit date:2023/5/31, 6/5, 9/5, 9/26, 10/5, 11/28, 2024/5/23, 6/7

It's a campsite from the Showa era. It's quite old. There was one customer, but he was using a drone. If we don't renew, customers won't come.

The slope at the entrance is extremely steep! However, the plumbing is clean and there is hot water. The toilet is also clean! But it's hot! ! !

If you set Google Navigation from Tokyo, you will be guided down a very narrow road, so be careful! You'll be driving about 2km on an unpaved road the width of one car, so you'll probably be nervous if you end up on a road you can't go on, but you'll make it anyway. (If there is no oncoming vehicle)Camping is a great way to enjoy nature without any unnecessary things. You'll have to climb quite a bit to get the view, so it's a good idea to pack something that will fit in your backpack. The water is not potable, so bring plenty of water or use a water purifier in the summer.

The manager very carefully explains about the site, water, toilets, etc. It looks like they will arrive at your check-in time. The toilet near the manager's office had a simple flush, but it was clean and had no unpleasant smell.Anyway, the stairs are difficult, so it's better to pack less luggage. It's a great campsite that doesn't seem to have many families. There is a supermarket in Makabe, so I think it would be smoother to shop there and then take the mountain road (mostly paved roads).
