I stayed for one night on a weekday in February. It was great weather and empty 😆We set up on the lake side and could relax quietly. The reception and shop are basically unmanned, and people come to check in, but the shop is unmanned, and it is a Japanese-style shop where you take the change from the money left behind for the things you bought.I think it's okay to get firewood here since it's run by a firewood shop. The restrooms are clean and suitable for families or couples. It's a mat, so it makes a lot of noise when you walk on it, so be careful when going to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

On weekdays, the usage fee is 1,500 yen.If you check in early, you can check in from 11am and it will cost 1,000 yen more, but it's still cheap compared to other campgrounds ☺️The toilets and shops are well maintained, and the scenery and air are beautiful 😍It's just summer. If you are using the facility, it is best to bring a sleeping bag as it can get cold at night. For hot springs, we recommend Tosho Onsen ♨️And the dragonflies are friendly (*´艸`)

A campsite located on the shores of Lake Higashi Furuya in Shioya Town.It seems to have been around for a long time, but the management has changed and it looks like it has been completely renovated. After completing the formalities at the Japanese-style reception, we received a brief explanation and checked in.You can purchase firewood, food, kindling materials, etc. from the building next door. The site is a one-way street and you have to drive around to enter.Basically, the lake side seems to be the most popular with grass, so you'll probably need to secure it early, and it's easy to set up as long as you're not particular about the middle or reception side.Depending on the location, there may be tree roots or stones that may make it difficult for the pegs to stick, so be sure to have larger and harder ones available.Water facilities such as running water are in place, and there are also Western-style toilets. Please take your trash home with you and there is a place to dispose of your ash.The staff have a nice atmosphere, and it's a place where you can relax by the quiet lakeside in the mountains.

Campsite on the shore of Lake HigashigoyaUsage fee is 2000 yenThe site is basically grass, but there are weeds mixed in.Vehicles can enterThe path within the site is a circular, one-way gravel road. The gravel is so fine that when you walk on it, you hear a "Jari! Jari!" sound.I can constantly hear the sound of someone walking around at night, such as going to the bathroom, which disturbs my slumber. If you have a bonfire, you will need a flame retardant sheet. If you forget it, you can rent it for 500 yen.Although it was full on the day I used it, it wasn't packed with sushi and there was plenty of space between the sites. The number of toilets is too small for the capacityWe have added two temporary toilets, but one for men's toilets is not enough. There are usually 4 radio wavesThere are gnatsWhen I let my guard down in the morning and didn't put on socks, I got hit in two places in a short time. The receptionist was very kind and polite. We received a reassuring message: ``If you see someone who is not following good manners, please feel free to report it even at night.''

It's a great location right in front of the lake. The manager often comes to talk to me and check on me, and thanks to that, I feel like the place is maintained under strict rules. It's a good thing, but (in my personal opinion) I also feel like I'm being watched a bit.It may be good for people who want to spend a quiet time alone in solo camping.

I went trout fishing.I didn't catch any fish because I used a homemade lure test.If you really want to catch trout at Lake Higashigoya, it is better to go before April, as you can catch some of the stocked fish species immediately after stocking.

Used for the first time in over a year.Apparently there was a difficult time when it became a lawless area, so reservations were required and many rules were added. However, since I was a late check-in, I appreciated the reservation system, and the rules were all pretty normal for camping, so I wasn't too worried (but if you continue to violate them, you might be banned, so keep an eye on them). Please pass!)Previously, you could only buy firewood, but now there is a better variety of products besides firewood, so this is also a good thing. This is a campsite that we would like to continue to support.Below is a detailed review.【toilet】A pretty clean toilet. If you enter even at night, the lights will come on.[Washing area]There is no hot water. No detergent etc.The cleaning is thorough and beautiful. There is an ash dumping area next to the washing area.【access】You need to drive on a narrow mountain road. Be careful of oncoming vehicles. Also, during the cold season, it's common for it to snow, and since it's surrounded by mountains, some roads may be frozen, so it's best to go for a static road.【night sky】I've used quite a few campgrounds, and although there are only a few private houses and streetlights, the stars can be seen quite clearly. It would have been much more beautiful if I took a walk avoiding private houses and streetlights, but it's dark and dangerous, so I advise against it.
