Is this a pension run by the owner's family? Hotel like.I found this hotel when I was looking for a bungalow-like hotel between Obihiro and Chitose Airport. It looks like a log house, and is made mostly of wood. There is firewood in front of the house, and there is a fireplace in the dining room that uses firewood to keep you warm, giving it a nice atmosphere.During the warm months, the owners and their children come to make dinner and breakfast for us, but since they also eat breakfast together, we can have fun talking while eating, and we can also learn about various things about Hokkaido and the Yubari area. I was told that it was a very good inn, not only because of the location, but also because I was able to experience interacting with local people. As for the rice, it seems that the owner's family runs a cherry tomato farm, so they had homemade tomato juice, tomato jam, and delicious side dishes packed with vegetables.Since they were cherry tomatoes, the tomato juice was sweet and delicious. There are a lot of vegetables and other ingredients, so even those who are particular about the food they feed their children can feel at ease with the food served here. There are also two sheep, one male and one female, kept next to the inn, so you can play with them. However, in the evening, the owners and their children take them home, so it's best to go see the sheep before they finish cooking at 5pm.He will also bring you in the morning, so if you miss him at night, you will be able to see him in the morning. It also seems like wild deer are living there, and I was able to see them quite often. The Wi-Fi is a little weak, but the price is pretty cheap and the owners are kind, so I'd definitely stay there again.

We stayed here 4 months ago, for 4 nights in late September. I was tired of the intense heat in Honshu, but I escaped to Hokkaido and found the climate to be cool and just right. Yubari Youth Hostel is a very good accommodation as per everyone's reviews. The building is log house style and the rooms are clean and quiet, making it a very nice inn. The food is mainly vegetables and is very delicious. I stayed for 4 nights, and I was grateful that the menu was different every day, but an incident occurred at dinner on the second night. They didn't have enough rice, so they asked me to leave some for people who would be arriving late. I eat a little more than most people, so when the people at the hotel saw the pot, they said they didn't have enough food. I ended up eating about 3 cups, so I was asked to leave some for someone who was checking in later. I felt very disappointed in this response. In the end, I was told that it wasn't an all-you-can-eat option. I think it's normal for the people at the hostel to be happy if you eat a lot because they think it's delicious. I was surprised when I was told that the rice was not all-you-can-eat.

The Forest Youth Hostel offers a truly remarkable place to stay. With an atmosphere reminiscent of a cozy lodge house, it provides a welcoming and comforting environment for guests. What sets this hostel apart is not only its ambiance but also the delectable food it serves. The culinary experience here is a delightful surprise for travelers, and it adds a significant dimension to the overall stay. Moreover, the affordability of the Forest Youth Hostel is a standout feature. It's not often that you find a place that combines the charm of a lodge, delicious dining options, and an economical price point. What's even more impressive is that they include dinner in the price, making it an even more attractive choice for budget-conscious travelers. In summary, the Forest Youth Hostel is a hidden gem that delivers an experience that's both cozy and affordable, with the added benefit of scrumptious meals. It's undoubtedly a destination worth recommending to anyone seeking a memorable and reasonably priced stay.
