I stayed for one night to watch the 2024.4 Terikyu Fire Festival. I'm writing this review because it was a good inn that met my needs for a clean, comfortable place to sleep and easy access. Close to the station, there are restaurants nearby. Parking available. Every week on Fridays and Saturdays around 10pm, a ramen stall will be available for take-out. TV, table, pot, tea leaves, toothbrush included. No toilet, sink, safe, or room key. A tri-fold futon was placed in the room ready to be used as soon as it was unfolded. The tatami mats and futons are clean. As the reviews said, the futon was fluffy. Some of the personal belongings of the couple who run the hotel (wheelchairs, accommodation books, etc.) are placed on the walkway, but they have been kept clean. There are shared wash basins on both the 1st and 2nd floors, and hot water is available. There were many facial soaps etc. on the first floor, but it is unclear whether they are the owner's personal items or items that guests are allowed to use. There was a coin-operated washing machine, dryer, and detergent, but it looks like it hasn't been used for a long time. The restrooms are unisex, with heated Western-style toilet seats. Artificial hot spring using Maifan stone, a specialty of Mino Shirakawa. It was thoroughly cleaned. The amount of water in Karan was reasonable, and the temperature of the water was appropriate. There are no bath towels, but there are piles of face towels in the changing room. The airflow of the dryer is ok.Phone reservations, cash only. It was run by an elderly couple, and the husband seemed to have bad legs. I checked in at night and checked out in the morning, so my stay was short, but I felt warmly welcomed by the staff, who offered to change the hot water in the pot at any time if it was lukewarm, and other things they said to me.When I made a reservation in February, I was given a price of 3,500 yen per night without meals. When I used the service in April, I was informed that the utility bill would be changed to 3,800 yen starting this month due to severe utility costs. Normally, I would have protested if the price changed after I made the reservation, but since it was originally cheap, I thought it couldn't be helped, so I paid. Even though it was the day of the festival, we were the only guests staying.
