After the safflower peonies viewing event, I visited them for lunch.I ordered oyakodon (oyakodon) for 800 yen, seasonal obanzai miso soup for 400 yen, and soo juice for 350 yen. Very reasonable!Everything was delicious, I listened to various stories, and the scenery and wind were pleasant. I had a great time

A signboard for local chicken oyakodon? I was curious and stopped by. It was delicious with chewy meat.I was able to relax and feel like I was walking into the parlor of an old folk house.

Kanbei Tea StoreThis shop can be reached via a watermill from a parking lot just off Prefectural Route 38. The inn doesn't seem to be in use anymore, and it's called a teahouse. If you go a little along the road from the prefectural road and pass the small Kanbei signboard on your left, you will find a parking lot exclusively for this store. The dining area is a room in an old private house, so it feels like you've come to eat at your grandparents' house in the countryside. The meal menu is fixed: chicken and egg bowl or rice with egg. If you get the obanzai set, it comes with seasonal obanzai and soup. The oyakodon was made with local chicken that was caught in the morning and contained various parts. It's made with free-range eggs, and the rice is polished in a water wheel right in front of you.The obanzai of the day is written on the menu at the front.Today's dish was the wild vegetable obanzai set (100 yen more than usual), which consisted of itadori, bamboo shoots, and butterbur. All obanzai have a gentle taste. The pickled sansho peppers that come with each item are also apparently made in-house, and all of them have a strong Kyoto-like flavor that comes from the dashi stock. The chicken was also chewy, and it was completely different from the meat bowls you see at the supermarket. Everything was delicious.Thank you for the delicious food. Thank you for the meal.

Currently, there is no inn business, only a teahouse and a ``water wheel shop'' attached. At the teahouse, you can eat oyakodon (rice bowl with chicken and eggs made with local chicken in the morning), drinks, and shaved ice.The waterwheel shop sells local vegetables, processed products, rice balls, and handmade items. You can relax and have a meal or take a break in an old thatched house while being soothed by the scenery of the countryside.
