This was my first visit to the village inn, about 15 km from Omachi City, as a day trip to the hot springs. Day trip bathing is available from 11:00 to 21:00, 450 yen for adults, 250 yen for children. The hot springs along National Routes 147 and 148 on the Itoigawa (Chikuni) Highway cost around 700 yen, but there are hidden hot springs a little further away. I visited the facility around 7pm on a holiday, and there were 3 men and 4 women taking a bath. The women's changing area is basically a plastic changing area with space for 30 people, and the washroom also has a hair dryer and a wall clock. Valuables will be stored in a paid locker in front of the changing room (coin return type). The women's bath has 9 automatic buzzers, and the faucet type has hot water running for 10 seconds, and the shower type has hot water for 30 seconds, making it very useful for washing your hair. Body soap and hair soap are provided, but if you are picky or have allergies, please bring your own. Although it is only an indoor bath, the lukewarm radon spring will warm your body from the core. I think 20 people can soak in the bathtub at once with plenty of space between each other and legs stretched out. There is a sleeping bath for 2 to 3 people further back. By the way, there is no clock inside the bathhouse, so please be careful when waiting. In front of the entrance to the men's and women's baths, there is a small (knee-high) tatami room where you can wait with your partner. The bathhouse has a historical feel, and its dim lighting will soothe your mind and body. Although it is not suitable for those who want a modern hot spring facility, it was a hot spring that I would like to visit again as a hidden hot spring in the mountains.

restaurantI was able to pay using smartphone payment PayPay. Handmade soba noodles are good. Hot tea was self served.stayThe room is on the second floor. The public bath is open until 11pm, but if you go in late, you'll find grime floating in the bathtub. You can take a bath from 5am to 8am in the morning. You can eat at the restaurant in the evening without making a reservation. The shop is open until 8:30 p.m. The front desk opens at 8am. You can choose to have breakfast at 7:00, 7:30, or 8:00. Rakuten Mobile is out of service area.

We rented a barbecue stove at the clubhouse within the facility (you can also rent the clubhouse for 3,000 yen!). It was perfect for having fun with friends and kids! …

2022/12The morning and evening meals are voluminous and have a large variety of items, and are good value for money. There is a large radium bedrock bath, and the accommodation is quiet and has a high repeat rate. For dinner, I especially look forward to the vegetable-filled gyoza, fried river fish, mom's tofu, and jade soba made with 100% buckwheat flour. This time I bought the ash-grilled oyaki (mixed & Nozawana) from Ikusaka...it was delicious and full of vegetables. I would like to see Oyaki developed using Ikusaka buckwheat and rice flour to promote gluten-free rather than wheat flour.2023/7 revisitThere are no crowds at all, and this is a very quiet village-run bathhouse accommodation. The breakfast and dinner meals are hearty and delicious, using local ingredients such as rice, soba and vegetables from Ikusaka.2024/4 revisitWe had an excellent dinner plan. You can enjoy it enough with the default plan, but the exquisite plan includes wagyu beef and more, and the level of cooking and volume was incredible. The cherry blossoms around the inn were also beautiful.
