Last weekend, my family and I stayed at "farm and bed SETODA" in Setoda, Ikuchijima! The rainy season is finally here in Hiroshima, so unfortunately we ended up staying in rainy conditions, but we had so much fun that it didn't matter.I will write about the good points later, but first I will explain the composition of the number of people and the sightseeing route. This time there were 3 adults (2 in their 30s and 1 in their 80s) and 3 children (3rd year middle school boy, 1st middle school boy, and 1 preschool girl)It was a one-night, two-day trip with my family. The stopping route was HAKKO Park → Kosanji Temple → Miraishin no Oka → Local food procurement → Check-in.Please see the existing guidebook for details on this area. Now, regarding farm and bed SETODA, which is my favorite this time, the first thing that struck me as soon as I entered the inn was its unique entrance. The structure is reminiscent of old-fashioned earthen floor culture, and is designed to make it very easy to move luggage from the car. When you enter the room and head to the dining room in the back, the first thing that catches your eye is the large sweeping window, the wooden deck, and the lemon field beyond that! The living room has a very open feel, increasing the excitement of our stay ♫The next thing that catches your eye is the good taste in the interior, decoration, and furniture.Although it is equipped with the latest equipment, there are dining chairs and lighting that are probably recycled from old furniture and tools, giving it a sense of warmth and history. It's a wonderful upcycling technique that gives you a feeling of luxury while also not forgetting the sense of luxury 👍👍What I particularly liked was the color of the interior, which is all painted in the same plaster.Normally, when you think of plaster, most people think of something pure white, but the color here is a beige earthy color, and it has an atmosphere that somehow reminds me of Central and South America, which really hooked me😆Furthermore, the doors leading to each room are designed to be integrated with the passageway, and I can see that the design of the passageway leading from the entrance was an effort to make the living room as wide as possible, and I was surprised by the attention to detail in the design. Ta! !This is a personal niche recommendation, but be sure to check it out when you're there! There are three important living rooms, but each one has more than enough space and you are sure to be able to relax. We used two beds for the three of us, my small daughter, my wife, and myself, and we were able to sleep without any problems. Each of the three rooms has its own characteristics, so be sure to check them out on our website 😆Lastly, the thing I was most looking forward to this time was the barrel sauna installed in the lemon field! Actually, I was secretly considering installing it on my wooden deck at home, so I was excited to be able to preview it as well. The performance was as expected, but it was even better than expected! This is a great feature that not only allows you to turn it on remotely, but also allows you to finely adjust the temperature. We were able to secure enough space inside the sauna, and I was impressed by its space-saving yet wonderful functionality! The view from inside the sauna was amazing, and even though it was unfortunately raining, it was a very satisfying sauna experience~😉After the sauna, prepare a meal using ingredients you got in advance from a local fisherman's shop or a nearby roadside station! farm and bed SETODA has a large number of cooking utensils and tableware available, allowing you to prepare a variety of dishes. My favorites this time are cottage cheese made with milk and lemon and sashimi made by local fishermen ♫If you can stay a little longer, it might be a good idea to use the fishing rods provided at the facility to procure fresh fish yourself!Time really flies by, so if you are reading this article and are considering reserving a facility, we strongly recommend that you stay for at least 2 nights! !There are still many charms that I can't write about yet, so please come and experience it for yourself♪
