Unfortunately, since Gozenyama Dam was built, this campground has lost its charm. In addition, typhoons and heavy rains have increased the risk of emergency water release from dams.

If you call at the end of the year to make a reservation for camping in the new year, why not make the reservation later? I was told that it would be a problem if it snowed, so I called them in the new year without making a reservation, and was told that they were currently closed, leaving me at a loss...

Although it was a Saturday, I was able to make a reservation that morning, and I was told that I could check in at any time (check out was at 11am) and it was cheap at 3,000 yen per person per night. There is a toilet with a washlet (no shoes allowed), a shower, and a kitchen with only one sink, so the infrastructure is well-equipped. The most important thing is the scenery, but only a few sites have special seats where you can see the river and mountains. Other than that, there is also a second special seat where you can camp while looking at the stream and forest. If you end up with a site near the center that doesn't fall into either category, I think your satisfaction level will be average. There are canoe rentals, and it would be fun to do so. Perfect for activities for children and adults. (I didn't do it solo with my dog, but I wanted to try it after seeing people)The ground here is dirt and drainage is somewhat poor. If you experience bad weather the day or day, your gear will likely be covered in mud.It is located about 15 minutes by car from Katsura Roadside Station. There doesn't seem to be a supermarket nearby, so there are no shops on site. I think it's a good idea to prepare everything in advance. Please take your trash home with you. Payment can be made by cash or PayPay.

When I went to the Tatsuguchi campsite, it was full and there was no place to pitch a tent, so I gave up and called here.Luckily, they accepted it on the same day.I think it was around 10:00.It takes about 30 minutes to arrive from Tatsuguchi. As others have written, the path is narrow and a bit steep downhill. It was okay for me to use Delica, but for a moment I felt uneasy😆The owner is in a camper. Please check in first and then ask, ``Where would you like to go?'' 'The owner showed us around.I chose a site where I could play in the water, as there was a thick river and a shallow river side where I could play in the water. It cost 6,000 yen for two adults per tent per night. It's lively with many families playing in the river, but it's heartwarming to watch them. Many families also bring pets.Firewood costs 700 yen. There are no other sales. He told me to prepare the ingredients before coming. No shoes are allowed in the restroom 🈲 You can change into the sandals provided. There is a system where you can enter the shower by paying 100 yen. It's out at 11:00.There is a super public bath within a few minutes.Actually, it's a very good place, but if I give too many reviews, it might get crowded, so I gave it 4 stars f(^_^)Should I have given it 3 stars?I would like to come again.
