Beautiful house, elegant room and delicious breakfast is the conclusion for this place. But suggest to skip the dinner because it is offered by a restaurant 2 mins walk from the house and it’s very mediocre and not in a stable quality.Afternoon tea and breakfast offered by Nazuna on the other hand is with very good quality!A bit disappointed that the house is divided into different rooms that we are not able to walk through to see the house in a bigger picture. Common area to relax is rather small and very limited.

The setting is beautiful, and I must admit, a lot of work and planning went into it. However, there were some issues. We found a dirty sock from the previous occupants under the sofa cushions which itself seemed to slide out frequently. There was also no WiFi initially. When I complained, even though they knew it wasn't working, they questioned if I really needed it. Additionally, there were mosquitos in the room. For the price we paid, this was far below expectations. I would also not recommend the chicken Yakitori dinner restaurant they partner with. For that quality and price, you can find much better places nearby. Thanks, but this chain isn't for me

While Nazuna is a very nice Ryokan in a beautiful setting, it is simply too expensive (JPY 72’100/night, without dinner) compared to other upscale places we have visited over the last decades in Japan:|- minimal toiletries (the ones you get …

Open-air bath and breakfast are good. It would have been nice if there were chairs in the washroom and bath.

We had a wonderful time at this very elegant and stylish inn. We would like to share with you some of the points we have noticed below, so that future guests can have a more comfortable stay.First of all, the signboard for the parking lot was small and it was difficult to find it. Also, I didn't feel the need to enter personal information on the first tablet, and I felt inconvenienced by where to store my footwear and how to use the two entrances. I did. The lack of a welcome drink was also different from other reviews. In addition, I couldn't find the toothbrushes, combs, and other amenities that were listed on the reservation site no matter where I looked, and it was hard to figure out how to get hot water from the faucet in the bathroom, and the switch for the ventilation fan in the shower room was at my feet, so I didn't notice it and it was cold. I couldn't help but feel that the explanation was a bit lacking. Also, when I unfolded the bath towel, clumps of hair came out, and some areas were dusty and poorly cleaned, making it unhygienic and uncomfortable. Also, I thought it would be nice to have a place to hang bath towels.Regarding meals, I was later told that drinks were an additional charge, so I wanted to know that in advance. Also, I think it would be easier to schedule if you listed the options for afternoon tea time on the reservation site. I'm grateful that they provided it to me, but the fork had a metallic smell that interfered with the taste of the sweets, the number of pieces was odd or difficult to share between two people, and the tea was... However, I noticed that the teapot was thin unless I kept turning it over and over again. Also, I felt that the Western-style breakfast soup stock and tea containers didn't go well with the Japanese atmosphere. As for the facilities, I think it can't be helped since the samurai residence was being renovated, but the steps were large and the room was not soundproofed, so I woke up in the middle of the night hearing loud noises and voices.I apologize for the long post, but overall the food was very delicious and the hot springs were soothing and had wonderful memories. thank you very much.

An inn in Obi, a quiet castle town. This place is surrounded by a clear stream where carp swim.It is said that it was originally the residence of an eye doctor. The buildings and furniture have been carefully preserved and carefully inherited. (There were also prescription shelves and drawers where medicines were kept.)The garden that can be seen from the reception window is also quaint and nice.Afternoon tea was also available upon check-in, and each item was elaborate. The small monaka was especially delicious with sesame, matcha, and white miso fillings, and I also enjoyed the other sweets. This time I stayed in a room with a moss theme, and I was able to spend a relaxing moment looking at the moss illuminated by the lights. Is my elementary school daughter on the mezzanine floor? Attic? I was very happy to have a futon laid out on my bed and it was my own special space♬The open-air bath is also located in a large garden, where you can take a relaxing soak while admiring the view. The breakfast ochazuke with a wide variety of toppings was very delicious, and my husband, daughter, and I all loved it.People are copying it at home and the Ochazuke boom continues (lol)We had dinner at a yakitori restaurant (Aya) about a 5-minute walk away. The local chicken here is also delicious, and my stay in Obi is a wonderful memory. We recommend making reservations for dinner in advance.I'm glad I was born in Japan. It was a trip that made me realize once again that there are many places and wonderful places in Japan that I don't know about.

It was a quiet and calm inn. It's a shame that there is no dinner, but you can expect breakfast if it is provided. However, I wonder if it would be difficult to have dinner served in the room. The inn has been renovated to fit the image of the town.

This is my second stay here and I definitely want to visit again. Last time I wasn't able to take it easy, so this time I stayed for two nights and took a walk around the town of Obi. This time, it happened to coincide with my birthday, so I was very grateful for the thoughtfulness of the staff.
