I was looking forward to seeing the cuisine of the French-born chef and what the soba would be like at an inn that has a reputation for its cuisine. The soba noodles, which served as an amuse-bouche, had a smooth texture and went well with the caviar and olive oil. There was nothing noteworthy about the other dishes, and the soba noodles had no aroma or taste.Unfortunately, the soba soup was too sweet and the wasabi flavor was overpowered. Maybe it would have been different if it was the new soba season...The dessert peach melba had a slight rose flavor, which I liked.Although the building is designed to be a Japanese-style inn, both the guest rooms and the dining room, the resort-style interior with rugs on the tatami mats felt odd.The amenities are so rich that it's rare these days, and the price reflects that!?It might not be a problem for those who usually stay at hotels with this class price...But all the staff were very nice.

Stayed for two nights on New Year's Day. I visited here to relax in the hot springs and delicious food.Anyway, the food was amazing. It's a little different from your typical French auberge, as they offer a large number of items in small quantities. Two types of pairings are available: wine and sake, and they are also very enjoyable with a wide variety of carefully selected local ingredients. Not only the explanation of the people who served us, but also the hospitality and way of entertaining us was outstanding (I really enjoyed it).The food was different on both days, and we had a great time without getting bored. It's really delicious. With soba noodles that are unique to Nagano and seasonal items made only with soba noodles, this restaurant stands out from the French restaurants in Tokyo. Both meat and river fish are easy to eat. You can also eat wild game, but it's a size that even those who don't like it can enjoy, and there's no smell at all, so you don't have to worry about it.At first I was worried about the amount of water in the hot springs, but it didn't bother me at all. It's a wonderful private space overlooking the garden. Since it was winter, the cool outside air and soft hot water were soothing.Breakfast is also not a typical breakfast pattern, but it is a wife-friendly menu such as soba galette and small but tender and delicious beef.It gives me the satisfaction of being able to keep writing forever. There are many places to go out, such as the ropeway, but for lunch, the sauce cutlet bowl at Meijitei next door is the best. After that, I recommend relaxing in your room and enjoying the hot springs.I think it's perfect for people who live in Tokyo and want to relax in the mountains.Although it is French, it has a Japanese atmosphere, so even elderly people can enjoy it with peace of mind.Next time I want to bring my parents too.If you are looking for hot springs and food, this is a place you should visit at least once. Eating and drinking has become the best place ever for my husband and I. (For your information, I have visited a number of French restaurants in Tokyo and auberges throughout Japan.)I will definitely visit you again.Thank you for your wonderful time.

This is my first time staying at an inn like this.Check in with a good feeling and go to the back⁉️⁉️⁉️🤔 Something is wrong. Enter the room.😣😱Yarareta😨The front part is newly built, and the back part is an outbuilding of a closed hotel. It's also an old room that is 40 to 50 years old.Damasareta in the homepage photoIt's a complete scam 😠😠😠😠The room smells musty, the bath is small, the bath towels and bathrobes are damp.Cooking isn't a big deal either. The eagle galette is better.Even with this kind of content, the accommodation fee is too high 😔I still can't forgive the worst accommodation 😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠

The food for both dinner and breakfast was abundant, beautiful to look at, and very satisfying. However, there is no welcome drink or sweets service at all, the refrigerator in the room has only one plastic bottle of water and tea, there is no public bath or private bath, and there are no free drinks or even magazines or newspapers in the lobby. This was my first time staying at an inn in Obi, so I was quite dissatisfied with the service. Also, drink prices are generally high.It seems that the sake and wine pairing plan is recommended, but the cheapest sake pairing is 6,000 yen, and the wine is 8,000 yen, so I think it would be nice if they also had bottled wine at a more casual price. .

It was an inn where the food was very delicious. It seems that it became affiliated with Resort Links about three years ago, and the head chef there became the head chef of Kisumika. Although he is a French chef, he decided to incorporate soba noodles because it didn't fit with the concept of the inn. Soba noodles are served instead of rice for soba gaki and other meals. It's really delicious so I recommend it. Breakfast was delicious, including freshly baked apple pie.The room is like a Japanese-style room with a bed, and the bath in the room is semi-open-air with water flowing directly from the Hayataro hot springs.Even though it is called a continuous stream, the temperature of the source water is so low that it feels like reheating the water in the bathtub. However, the quality of the spring water was very good, and the water was alkaline and slippery. I thought it would be useful in addition to being able to adjust the temperature. The employees seemed to be part-time locals, but they were very nice and responsive.Since the accommodation fee was quite high, I thought it would have been nice to have a public space and a welcome drink if possible. (Because when it rains, you can't go anywhere.)Overall it was a good stay. I would like to visit you again!
