This pension is run by an elderly couple. It's located almost in front of the ski resort, so you can ski directly to the hotel when you return from skiing.I think the pension is probably old, but it has been renovated in various ways and is a very comfortable place to stay. On the day I stayed, they let me park my car in the parking lot in the morning, and the room was empty in the morning, so I was able to use it.Regarding the pension, I don't think the bath is a hot spring, but I was able to heal the fatigue of skiing in the large bathtub. I think it's a little hard to tell about the food on the website, so I've included a photo of the food I had during my stay that day. The food is basically Western food, but they also have sashimi, which was very delicious. The rice was especially delicious, and I had several refills. The owner is very enthusiastic and does his best to accommodate you, so I think it's a very good place to stay. However, since he is not a young manager, he may be weak at email. I think calling directly is the safest way.

I have been using it every year for over ten years. The owner's personality and his wife's delicious creative dishes are the best. The pension is located next to the ski slope, a 30 second walk, and you can immediately access the gondola and lift.

An inn where time stands still, with the values of ``The Pension'' from about 35 years ago. That is also the "good side" of this inn.The inside of the hotel is kept very clean, and you will be impressed by the small rooms, large baths (men's and women's), and the delicious food. My dog, Hana-chan (a miniature poodle), who only occasionally pops out, is very friendly and cute, even though she is only 13 years old.The room is spacious enough and comes with a tea set, bath and hand towels, TV, small table and cushions. Personally, I would have been happy if there were two chairs, but it was a Japanese-Western room, so I guess that would be difficult. The floor is linoleum, the walls are of course cloth (but there are no cracks or anything like that. They've probably re-upholstered it many times, and I get a sense of the meticulous and clean-loving nature of the owners), and even though it's shared, there's also a beautiful bathroom. toilet···.Although they don't fit into today's ``auberge'' style, each and every carefully crafted plate was definitely praised for its novelty and beauty 30 years ago. I think the cost performance is also good (9,000 yen/person with out-of-the-way bus, including 2 meals).Even though it felt a little unbalanced, it became my favorite place to stay. I had a hard time deciding whether to give it a 5 rating, but if I had to objectively tell someone who saw this, I would subtract 1 star because...However, personally, it was a relaxing space that I would definitely like to use again. I wanted to go to Niigata Port before noon tomorrow, so I found this accommodation during the off-season, and it was a relaxing stay. thank you very much.
