I used it with my wife for an overnight stay from Nagoya in the latter half of Golden Week in 2024. Even though it was Golden Week, there was only one other customer for some reason. Affordable price: ¥5,000/person (tax included) for a room without meals.I booked 2 rooms, but unfortunately I had to move to 1 room on the morning of the day.I asked them to change the room, but in the end they combined a 6 tatami room and a 12 tatami room into one room. They have a wide selection of tea and sweets, and the service is comparable to that of a large hotel. On top of that, I received a cold PET bottle of barley tea, and in the morning they even gave me rice balls.Quiet and clean. Both the bath and toilet were clean and I was surprised that the toilet had an automatic lid opening type.It seems like the elderly host is managing the place by himself, but I was able to enjoy the trip thanks to the great hospitality and friendly service. What I didn't have was a refrigerator. Also, there weren't many restaurants around, so it was difficult to find food. It may be better to research well in advance and make a reservation, or to do it in Takayama.

Although it is a long-established inn that only allows guests to stay overnight, the interior has been renovated and the rooms are clean.Located facing the old Etchu Kaido road, this is a quiet inn with the atmosphere of a post town.Upon request, you can receive free rice balls in the morning.

Although it is a so-called "ryokan", the hospitality is the best!Being in a Japanese-style room with a Showa-era feel makes me feel like a great literary figure.I'm staying here without meals, but I'm also given rice balls for breakfast, so I feel like I could stay here and do remote work.

Above all, you will feel relieved at an inn filled with the kind hospitality of Hida people. There is a parking lot in front of the inn, and accommodation rates are cheap. Within walking distance, famousThere are sake breweries (Watanabe Sake Brewery at ``Hourai'' and Kaba Sake Brewery at ``Hida Yancha''), and restaurants, ``Deli Yamamotoya'', ``Matsuri Kaikan'', and ``Inohiro'' rice cracker shop are also nearby, making it very convenient. A hotel you'll want to visit again, a city you'll want to visit again!
