I think the rice is frozen or retorted. The taste is strong. The sashimi was delicious, but it was really disappointing considering the price. The room was clean, but when you look at the toilet and bath, you can feel its age.I won't use it anymore

The staff is very courteous and helpful. Although I was told that the inn was old, I felt at home thanks to the attentiveness of the staff. As usual, the hallways and front desk are dark. There is a children's space near the lobby. The air conditioner in the room was not very effective, but I was satisfied with the customer service and food that made up for it. Many of the dishes are local and satisfying, and of course the whole apple gratin is especially recommended. The problem is that the entrance to the inn is difficult to find.

This inn is located along the Omachi Alpine Line, closest to Ogizawa. Since it's not that big, you won't have a large number of guests, so you can relax and enjoy your stay. It's also good that you don't have to wear footwear inside the building. Drinks are served before dinner and after breakfast the next day. The inside of the hotel and guest rooms were well maintained and we did not experience any problems. The guest rooms are on the 1st and 2nd floors, so moving around the building is not that difficult. However, depending on the orientation of the room, the view may be a little sketchy.Meals are served in the large hall, and the time for dinner is specified by the inn upon check-in, and the time for breakfast can be selected. The quality and quantity of the food is good, and I think both adults and children will enjoy the apple gratin in particular. I was very satisfied with my additional order for horse sashimi. The large public bath and changing area were also relatively clean. The large public bath is a simple hot spring. It seems like chlorine is added, but it's quite suppressed and I don't feel any discomfort. The number and size of bathtubs are adequate for the scale of the inn, and there is also an open-air bath, and since it is close to a forest, you can enjoy the pleasant scent of the trees. There is no sauna. I used it from Sunday to Monday, and I was able to enjoy the large bath almost exclusively for myself, and I had a very luxurious time.Furthermore, there is no shop with a wide selection of souvenirs like in large hotels (although there were some small snacks and juices for sale). For drinks inside the facility, there are vending machines for free drinks and other drinks. However, alcohol must be purchased at the front desk.Last but not least, the staff's response was good, so overall I was satisfied with my stay.

Booked this Ryokan as a pitstop before the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Trail. It is very close to the Ogisawa station and the car forwarding service there. The food is very homely and generous. There was one staff member who was proficient in English and made communication very easy.

Very satisfying experience! Although the room is old, it is very clean, the Japanese hospitality is very attentive, the meals are exquisite and delicious, and the price is affordable. We forgot to bring the clothes when we left, but the staff actually spent twenty minutes driving to the station to bring them to us. It was so touching!
