We had a very wonderful and amazing experience at this place. Not only because of the beautiful rural scenic view, but also the warm hospitality of the farmer couple. They treated me and my kids with patience and big smiles! Speaking about the place, it is clean, cozy and charming. If you are coming from your city life, you would feel a strong sense of peace just by sitting in the wooden house, reading a book or enjoying the cool breeze outside (I visited in the summer).I wrote this review because my wife and I sincerely wanted to express our thanks and gratitude to the couple for making our stay so remarkable. It has certainly left a special memory for my kids as well. Thanks again, Mr Hajime and Ms Cari! Thanks for everything!!

Had the loveliest 3 night stay with Hajime-san and Kaori-san at Kitchen Garden. It was a peaceful and relaxing experience made perfect by Kaori-san's wonderful cooking and food. As a vegetable hater, I found myself taking a liking to all the veges from their farm. Also really enjoyed chatting about our different lives and getting to experience farming. Thank you for spending time with us, letting us "disturb" your farm (I hope we didn't ruin it haha), and for being great hosts to us!

Had an excellent time at the kitchen garden 😊🫶🏻! When we first reached, we were welcomed with a basket filled with freshly harvested asparagus, chilli and herbs. We also opted to rent their BBQ set and managed to procure fresh (and cheap!) seafood from a place recommended by our lovely hosts. The next day, we were also given a tour of the farm and some fresh corn to cook 🤍.Highly encourage anyone interested to first check their harvest schedule - depending on the month, you can help out with the harvest of certain types of vegetables and partake in specific activities (planting, pizza making etc).It would be ideal to have a car to reach the place and to explore the rest of Rankoshi. Also, there wasn’t a lock for the front door, so if you’re paranoid like me, I recommend bringing a padlock haha.

Stayed 1 night with family with kids. Excellent hosts offered great home cooked food and we were so spoilt for food. Was pleasantly surprised that we could have a conversation with English speaking host.Dinner is definitely something to shout about, consisted of about 10 dishes, cooked with asparagus farmed earlier in the day. A very cozy and intimate house with hospitable hosts, what more could we ask for. Kids enjoyed themselves. We will be back.Thanks Mr Hajime and Kaori san. (Hope I got your names right)

Had a great time with the family and friends here. Great hosts and a perfect mix of great fresh produce, relaxing interior and spectacular view. You can see rolling hills, the changing leaves on the hills, and Mt. Yotei on the horizon. I've stayed 3 times here now, and it's been the best way to get my head out of the city each time. Great for couples, families, friends, and kids (who will definitely love playing with Lego and jumping on the futons like ours did).

Hajime-san and Kaori-san are a lovely couple that run this farmstay Airbnb. They are the kindest hosts and I highly recommend staying here! Their vegetables are delicious and we get to eat them for dinner!
