The room is a bit old, but the location is great, the service is cordial, and the food is delicious.

The food was very delicious, but as everyone has said, it was undeniably old.I knew it wasn't a hot spring, but I was disappointed that it was pitch black even though it was early in the morning.

A long-established inn. A quaint appearance. The landlady is a bright and energetic person. The owner is a friendly person.Botan hotpot 4,400 yen per personChinese cabbage, round konnyaku, mizuna, tofu, udon, shiitake mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, shimeji mushrooms, decorative carrots, wild boar meatThe soup stock has a rich miso base. The more you cook it, the more mellow the flavor becomes, and I thoroughly enjoyed the rich yet not spicy flavor. The more you simmer the boar meat, the more tender it becomes, so we recommend resisting the urge to eat the meat first and enjoying it at the end of the pot.I've been to many Botanabe restaurants in the past, but this is my only choice now.

I had sukiyaki for lunch. The sauce was delicious, but the meat was tough and smelled like freezer burn, which was disappointing.

I stopped by to buy matsutake mushroom rice, but it wasn't available this year. There was a matsutake mushroom rice lunch for 1200 yen. I think I'll try the challenge next time.
