2024.08Use the parking lot when climbing Mt. Ogura. After descending the mountain, there was space, so we spent the night at the Autosite campground.(I had confirmed that it would be available if there was space, so I called in advance and went to the administration building)To be honest, I was a little worried after seeing the reviews about insects and horseflies, but luckily I wasn't attacked by insects. It may depend on the season and the area, but I was relieved. The difference between the free site and the auto site is the presence of a car, the presence of power (even in the auto, the price is different depending on whether there is a power source), and the presence of a shower (3 minutes for 200 yen).I wanted to use the shower, so I set it to auto, but I ended up not using it.The area was used from around 3pm, and there was no direct sunlight, and the sunlight filtering through the trees was pleasant. At night, if you go to the entrance of the auto site, it will be dark, so you can see the stars more clearly than inside the premises. You can buy beer, wine, bread, ice cream, etc. at the shop in the administration building. It's less than 1 km away from the auto site, so if you want to buy it, go first. Also, there are no supermarkets or hot springs nearby, so it's best to prepare in advance.Even in the middle of summer, the sunlight filtering through the trees was pleasant, and the mornings and evenings were cool enough to wear a thin long-sleeved shirt, so I had a great time!

We used a free campsite. It's cheap, quiet and very good. The toilet looked like it was newly built and was surprisingly clean!I looked at the auto campsite where you park your car on the way home, and it was pretty crowded.

Use the free campsite for solo camp x 2 group camp. Even though it was a weekend in late summer, we were the only users.[Good point]The toilet is newly built and comfortable with a washlet. At night, there are no street lights and it is so dark that you need a light to go to the bathroom, so the stars are beautiful. Cheap at 1200 yen/night.[Bad parts]The site is small and there is no place to start a fire when setting up a solo tent and tarp. Also, there is no space between sites next door, so you may have to be very careful if it's crowded. Access from the Gunma Prefecture side is difficult. The closest hot spring is about 30 minutes away on both the Gunma and Nagano sides.[Overview]My favorite campsite is very comfortable if there are few users.

Cottages and lodges do not allow rabbits, horns, camping, or pets... As expected of government management.

A cottage with a wood burning stove will be used on weekdays in the first half of August 2023. There were customers in the surrounding cottages, but the 10-person cottage was empty.Since it was my first time using the service, I was told to come to the reception by 5pm. I was told that there would be some explanations, but there were no particular explanations, and I was only told things that I could understand if I had the instruction manual.Snacks were sold inside the reception building, including cup noodles and sweets. The cottage with a wood-burning stove was said to be about 10 years old, but it was certainly clean overall. There is no TV. 🆓Wi-Fi is available. The equipment provided is as per the homepage, but I was grateful that there was hand soap in the bathroom. As for the equipment, the frying pan was smaller than I expected, and it took me a while to cook for myself. We have chopsticks, but please bring your own.The only disappointing thing was that there was no screen door. As expected, there are windows leading to the balcony, but there are none on the second floor or small windows, making ventilation difficult. Because insects come in. There were quite a few insects even though the windows were closed. I thought there would be insects, so I brought some freezing insecticide. There are also a lot of horseflies, so be careful until it gets dark. You can't open the windows on the second floor, but it wasn't too hot at night. I think I could have slept more comfortably if there was a screen door. Also, although I don't think many people care about it, the small windows and front door windows are not blindfolded, so they are completely visible from the outside. The cottage next door had clothes hanging in the window, so I imitated that. I always have hangers in my car. There is a garbage collection station in front of the reception building. It will be disposed of separately. This is very helpful. The homepage says that you can also play grand golf and tennis, but the tennis courts are pretty rough, but there were some people playing them. As for golf, I don't think it's possible. The course does not appear to be maintained.

I will be staying at a cottage during the summer vacation of 2022.The basic area is so large that you have to drive to the upper cottage to go fishing. This time I was at the bottom, so I had to walk, but it was spacious. This time I only caught rainbow trout, but when I stayed there about 5 years ago, I also caught char. It is a little difficult for children because it is close to nature. There was a person who was fishing quite a lot with tenkara, and kebari seemed to be better, so I wanted to try kebari.I tried the roller slide three times, but it was fun but exhausting. The physical strength of children is frightening. Basically, there are many slopes around the cottage, so it feels like a BBQ while dealing with the slope. Five years ago, we could see the Milky Way and it was beautiful!
