I’ve stayed in many places around the world, but this is now one of my favorites. It’s a beautiful historic building that has been renovated with care into a modern, comfortable place that instantly makes you feel at home. The open plan layout of the kitchen/communal area creates a welcoming, sociable energy and conversations with other guests flow naturally and effortlessly. As a former backpacker who now has a baby daughter, I particularly loved how it combines a family friendly environment blended with a youth hostel atmosphere. The owners Shota and Elisa (a friendly Japanese-Swiss couple) have clearly put a lot of love into this place and it shows. Definitely book this guesthouse for your stay in Tokoname!

For me, it's the best. It's cheap, tasteful, and has a free atmosphere. It is managed by a couple, a Japanese man and a Swiss woman. You might be able to interact with foreign travelers. At first, it might be tough to get there as it's an uphill walk, bumpy, and hard to understand, but once you get there, you'll be in heaven. However, it is suitable for people who are used to guesthouses. However, even if you are new to guesthouses, give it a try. The people who manage it are a wonderful couple.

At the beginning we walked from Tokoname Station to the B&B. The route on Google Maps was very hard for us dragging our suitcases. The road was not easy to walk on and it was very sloping, but it was quite worth it. The appearance looked like a country house in a Japanese drama, and the interior decoration was very It has a sense of art. I really like the feeling of a lot of wooden decoration. The room is not big and its function is to rest and sleep. However, the public space can be used to cook or make coffee. You can communicate with other travelers in the public space. There are also some board games and children in the public space. toys. Although the boss looks cool, he is very kind and will play board games with the children. The whole space is a very relaxing place.PS: The nearby supermarket closes at 8pm~ Go shopping earlier!

I stayed alone for one night. I've stayed at several guesthouses so far, but this one was the most relaxing. Although we arrived at night, we were warmly welcomed by the owner. After a brief explanation, we were shown the common space and beds. Depending on the person, I would chat with them or leave them alone, and the sense of distance that made me feel at ease made me feel very comfortable. The building is a quaint wooden structure, and the common space is made of wood and tatami mats, with table seats and counter seats. There were outlets and USB charging facilities at the counter, and Wi-Fi worked without any problems, so it seemed like I could work in a relaxed manner. The kitchen opposite the counter is also very clean and can be used freely, so it seemed easy to bring in ingredients to cook. You can brew and drink coffee and tea freely, so I woke up early in the morning and had a cup of drip coffee. In the end, I wasn't able to talk much with the owner and his wife, so next time I'll check in early and take my time to look around. I went there by bike, and was able to park my bike in the elevated bicycle parking lot at Tokoname Station. I think it's a very convenient accommodation for train travelers as it takes only a few minutes to get there from the station.

One of the best experiences I've had in quite a while. The hostel is an over 100 year old traditional Japanese house directly in the middle of the pottery footpath area. Despite that there's a lovely farmer's market, supermarket and drugstore in walking distance. The house itself is wonderful and it's just great to hang out there. I stayed in one of the dorm beds, which are traditional Japanese style with a tatami mat and futons. Everything is spotless clean and well designed. The absolute bonus is Shota, the owner of the hostel and his family. Such wonderful, knowledgeable and kind people, it was such a pleasure meeting them and spending time in this excellent hostel. Highly recommended!

This is a B&B converted from an old house. The space type is closer to a youth hostel or backpacker inn. In addition to mixed room types, there are also private rooms for three and four people. The bathroom facilities are for public use. The shower and toilet are separated and are kept very clean (the standard of use by hotel guests is also very high).A large amount of the structure of the traditional building has been preserved, and modern space transformation has also been added. There is a spacious social space and a convenient communal kitchen and refrigerator. You can feel the elegance and beauty of early Japanese wooden architecture, and the preserved beams and columns truly record the age of this house. The owner of the B&B can communicate in English, is warm and friendly. The B&B gives people a feeling of leisure and freedom. If you want to know more about the history and architecture of this B&B, or want to know about the attractions and features of the nearby streets, the B&B owner will be happy to talk about everything he knows. In the corner of the lobby, there is also a photo book of the renovation process of the B&B. You can see a few moments of the original renovation process.Because it is a B&B converted from a traditional wooden building, there are inherent deficiencies in sound insulation. If you are concerned about soundproofing and wooden floors that vibrate slightly when walking, it is recommended to stay in a hotel; but if you want to get to know more fellow travelers from all over the world, learn more about the details of local life, and taste the different atmospheres here in the morning and dusk. , enjoy the streets full of green flowers and plants created by the residents here, I believe you are right to choose here.A beautiful B&B that combines modernity and tradition. Even though it has some shortcomings, it is still highly recommended.
