Thank you for staying with my family of 3 for one night with breakfast included.Very convenient for sightseeing in Shirakawa-go.An inn run by an elderly landlady. I felt like I had traveled back in time several decades ago.The hot spring bath is the best.Breakfast was very delicious.Rice, miso soup, grilled hoba miso...everything was delicious.Next time I visit, I would definitely like to have dinner included.Dear lady, please stay healthy forever.

This time I was lucky enough to stay at Shirakawago during the lantern lighting event. This is a traditional B&B run by an old lady (it’s really traditional). Everything is quite traditional. There is a feeling of returning to a rural house. Suddenly the distance between people seems to be getting closer, and life has slowed down.It is a good choice if you want to experience local life. But if you live in a hotel and require hotel-style services, please consider it carefully. Please note that the B&B has an old-style design. The room is on the second floor, there is no elevator, and the stairs are relatively straight. It is not recommended to bring luggage boxes into the room. The door is also an ordinary Japanese sliding door without a lock.

Yumine Hotel is about 20 minutes' drive from Shirakawago Gassho Village. It is a very convenient accommodation location. The hotel is decorated in an old family style and has about four Japanese-style rooms in total. The washrooms and bathrooms are shared, and the female hot spring bath and the male hot spring bath are shared. They are all combined with the bathroom, and the large and small are only large enough for two people to use at the same time. If tourists want to retain their private space, they can hang a "in use" sign when using it, so they can take a bath and enjoy the hot spring time with peace of mind, but of course do not occupy too much space. Because the hotel only has this bathroom for guests to use in turns (it should be noted that the hotel does not have a hair dryer, so travelers with long hair should be careful); The hotel rooms are all on the first floor, and the stairs are sloping and long, so we decided to open the suitcases in the parking lot and take out the necessary items, leaving the rest of the luggage in the car to avoid having to work hard to move four heavy suitcases. It is placed in the upper room, and because it is a Japanese-style mattress, there is not much space to put luggage; however, although it is a Japanese-style mattress, and the temperature outside the room is -15°C in the early morning, because the room There is an electric heater inside, and the mattress has three thicknesses and a soft blanket on top. We slept very comfortably and warm that night (note that the hotel room does not have a door lock)!Another surprise for us was that the breakfast and dinner at the hotel were also extremely rich. We were allowed to add rice as we wanted. There were at least ten dishes of appetizers and main dishes for each person to enjoy. Even if the weather was freezing, it kept us warm and full. , and the lady probably won’t be able to eat the entire portion. I really admire the mother-in-law’s craftsmanship and careful preparation, and our group also ate as much as possible with the attitude of “respecting the chef and the food” and not letting any portion go to waste. Food😂.

I visited with my child (2 years old) in early March, when signs of spring were beginning to appear. Close to Shirakawa-go, about 20 minutes by car towards Gujo. You can bathe in the bath 24 hours a day, with the water flowing directly from the source. Meals made with local ingredients such as Hida beef are also full of volume and flavor. In particular, the combination of hoba miso and freshly cooked white rice served at breakfast is outstanding. It was a relaxing trip that made me feel like I was returning to my grandparents' house and was immersed in a nostalgic aftertaste.
