We stayed in this wonderful Kyoto Machiya house as part of our trip to Kyoto. First of all, the building itself was beautiful and I was able to feel the charm of traditional Japanese culture and architecture. The interior was well maintained and had a Japanese atmosphere. The staff were very kind and gave us a warm welcome. At check-in, they gave us a detailed explanation of the facility and advice on nearby tourist attractions, which was very helpful. The room was spacious and we had a comfortable stay. In particular, the view of the garden was beautiful, and the view from the window when I woke up in the morning was the best. The room had all the necessary amenities and was extremely clean.Overall, staying at this Kyomachiya was an unforgettable experience for us. This accommodation is recommended for those who want to experience the traditional Japanese atmosphere. I would definitely like to visit again next time.

This is an inn with a water theme, and you can feel that commitment in many places. Also, since the whole house is rented out, you can enjoy your private time without being disturbed by others. The interior design has also been carefully designed, allowing you to enjoy the stylishness that can only be achieved by renovating an old folk house and the Japanese style that can only be found in an old folk house. The building is a two-story building with a living room, kitchen, and bathroom on the first floor. When you go up the stairs to the second floor, you will find a Western-style room with a tatami mat bedroom and bed.Recommended for families as there are beds and futons so families can sleep together. The living room has a sofa and a tatami room, so couples can enjoy watching movies while sitting on the sofa. The bath is made of glass, so you can soak in the hot water while looking out onto the courtyard. The most surprising thing is that they have the Sekkisei series of amenities.Because the entire building is rented, you can enjoy quiet and private time. Also, since water is the theme, attention to water can be seen in many places. It's a special inn, so it's highly recommended for couples! The bath has an open-air bath that can be opened and closed, allowing you to enjoy an indoor bath when closed, and a semi-open-air bath when opened.Although the size of the bath is a little small, it is still the best bath space.Enjoy a private moment in a quiet atmosphere! You can choose to eat your own meals or reserve them at your accommodation. For dinner, reservations are required and the food will be delivered to your room. For dinner, we will have hand-made sushi from AWOMB, a sushi restaurant known in Kyoto as a popular sushi restaurant with long lines. The hand-made sushi consists of about 50 different ingredients packed in a box, sushi rice, seaweed, matcha tamago, and a soup bowl.Even if you make a reservation for breakfast, the food will be delivered to your room, so you can enjoy your morning without worrying about time. The breakfast is a collaboration breakfast with Nakatani.Nakatani is a coffee shop in Gion, Kyoto that is famous for its ``egg sandwiches'' that are served by geisha/maiko.This is an egg sandwich with a somewhat nostalgic taste, consisting of elegantly seasoned egg salad sandwiched between pieces of toast. This time, since we were able to rent out the whole house, we cooked our own food for dinner. You can enjoy a luxurious feeling as you can eat without worrying about time or surroundings!Kitchen utensils and dishes are well prepared, so you can use them empty-handed.For a special day stay with your lover.A private accommodation for the whole family. It was a wonderful private renovated inn that I would recommend to a variety of people. There are many shops near the inn, so we recommend taking a walk during your free time!

We had a great time. It is comfortable with floor heating, Apple TV, and Wi-Fi facilities. I visited by car, but there are coin parking and manned parking lots nearby. I want to use it again.
