I was at Nani House 2 30 years ago, it is a great place surrounded by plants and a water canal in the heart of Ubud.

Poor experience. My dormitory was not really clean, there was only one bathroom with WC for 6 people which is a bit tight and the bathroom was very dark and dilapidated, my locker was defective (it did not lock not locked), my dormitory smelled of cigarettes because it opened directly onto the balcony where smoking was allowed (not very pleasant for non-smokers), finally the bed cover was too thin (I had the impression of sleeping with a curtain). On the other hand, the price is really low.The pluses: air conditioning, price, welcoming staff, massage parlor nearby, quiet location away from the roads, etc.Cons: cigarette smell, cleanliness, too thin blanket, dilapidated bathroom, etc.The dormitory I was in should seriously be renovated and a smoking area further away from the rooms.

Breakfast very tasty (omlett, toast or bannana something). Price rather cheap. Everything clean. I had bed bugs but only in 1, i easily could switch beds and it was ok. Over all good hostel to go in great location

I can only recommend this hostel. It’s located just off the main road, but far away enough for it not to be noisy. The owner Rocky is so nice and accommodating, also he makes great breakfast! The offers for tours/boats etc have fair prices. My only complaint would be that it could’ve been a little cleaner.

Great budget accommodation with nice, relatively private beds and a large bathroom. It's perfectly outside of the madness of Ubud but still within walking distance to everything. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and two large lockers are provided. If you're looking for a party hostel this is not the place, but it's perfect for the quieter traveler.

We stayed in a double room with an en-suite with a lovely terrace!! The hostel was in good condition and the gardens well maintained!! The staff were very helpful - we had a problem with one of our tours and they helped us out at 3am. …
