Wayan and her family are the most kind, generous people! Woke up every morning to fresh hot water for my tea + a homemade breakfast to order on my private balcony. The entire family went out of their way to make sure I was well taken care of. Expect a traditional homestay with a lovely family vibes. They even invited me to their family’s special ceremony at their temple. Learned so much about the Balinese culture and traditions from them. So grateful for my stay here!

View was nothing like in the pics - instead of garden view there was just a walk literally build on the balcony. Toilet was leaking and bed made sounds with every move. Did not want to stay there as I was really looking forward to a comfy and home feeling place in Bali after backpacking in Indonesia. The staff said sorry for the inconvenience but was not understanding about giving me my money.Also entrance hall feels more like a scooter garage and does not feel welcoming or comfortable at all.Definitely I would not recommend.

Absolutely not the same like the photos. In front of the balcony is not a view, there is just a wall. Furthermore it looks like a garage with tons of scooters in the entrance hall. Also the bed sheets were dirty and the bed made noises like hell. After we have seen the room we asked for canceling but the host doesn’t want to give us our money back.But anyway we changed the accommodation because we don’t want to stay longer there!Really bad first day in Bali because of this! Do not book this place!!

Good luck! It's not worth giving even one star... It was hard to endure because of the stuffy smell of sewage with all sides blocked. Although it is a cheap place to stay, there are much better accommodations at similar prices.

Stay here! There is a dog, it rides the moped and comes to say hi in the mornings! The family are just lovely, it's by far the most at home I felt in months of travelling Asia. Very convenient location for the town and you can rent scooters for the rice paddies etc. Very reasonable prices for food and transfers also!

Super nice room and an (almost) luxury bathroom: huge shower, clean toilet and toilet paper. The room is very clean, BUT the view of the rice field no longer exists because the neighbor has built a temple there :D (not a big deal for us now, especially because the temple is also very beautiful.) The only problem is that the neighbor A man-high wall has been built on the balcony, which you can see over, but which still disturbs the overall picture.Air conditioning and a fan were available, but the batteries on the air conditioning remote control were dead and we had to go to the supermarket to get some (the family would definitely have replaced them too, but we didn't even ask)Every morning breakfast is brought directly to the balcony and as soon as you need help, one of the family members is always there and tries to help with passable English and hands and feet.Absolute recommendation

Remember, this is a 4 out of 5 considering the price you pay! With IDR 250K/night, we got an airy and clean room with a queen bed that comfortably fits two adults and is centrally located (8 minute walk to Ubud Palace and 10-15 to Sacred Monkey Forest). We had a fan in the room, but with IDR 50K more, we could have turned on the AC. We decided that we were okay with the fan at its strongest setting.The shower area was clean with good water pressure and hot water. We woke up to the bright morning sunlight, which was quite picturesque (again for the price). The room has a balcony that overlooks a rice field. We had our breakfast: delicious coconut pancakes, an omelette and our morning coffee in the balcony.Don't be alarmed with the entrance to the place. The bottom house of the guest house is where the family lives and it does not look appealing even at the slightest. Be ready to climb up some flights of stairs to reach the room.The place can be a bit hard to find as the sign isn't clear and you need to walk about 300m into a narrow alley way, but basically the alley is located next to the Laughing Buddha Bar and the guest house is at the end of the alley to your left.This option is worth considering if what you need is just a place to sleep and a hot shower in the heart of Ubud.
