I have to agree with all the previous speakers and say that we would never stay there again. Everything looks very nice from the outside, the hotel is in a prime location, but inside everything is very old, musty and worn out. In our room we were met with unbearable heat, which made it difficult for us to sleep. Given the temperatures, a small fan would have been more than appropriate. Although windows were opened, these locations unfortunately faced the street and were very noisy due to the traffic.Breakfast was "ok", unfortunately there was hair on the cheese slice and the dishes. We had a much better breakfast for the price. The hotel prices are also absolutely outrageous for what is on offer. But the staff was very nice.We cannot rate the restaurant. There is no recommendation from us!!

Beautiful building to look at from the outside, very central in Hochheim. Parking for guests is possible in the hotel's own garage in the backyard. Very shabby inside, everything is 1970s style. Cluttered reception area, stairs to the rooms with old, brown carpet, musty smell, no elevator. We were immediately met with a great, stale heat in the room. It was very hot those days, unfortunately no air conditioning or at least a pressure fan. We couldn't sleep because of the heat, we had the windows open. The street noise came in at night and disturbed my sleep again. Furniture not worthy of a hotel, old cupboards, worn bed, one door on the shower is also stuck. As I said, everything original from the 70s. Mattresses were good, cleaning of the bathroom was also ok. It looks like a hotel in decline, there's stuff everywhere outside. Needs to be completely cleaned up and renovatedThe breakfast was good and very rich, something for everyone. But the price is far too high, the overall price-performance ratio doesn't fit

Expensive overnight stay in the flair of the 70sThe hotel is in the center of Hochheim, so the location is not bad. And you can still tell that it was once one of the best houses in town. Unfortunately, there isn't much left of it.First of all, the most important thing, the rooms, because we wanted to stay there above all else. Once you have found someone to man the reception, which is full of all sorts of junk, then after receiving the key you can stroll through 70s-style hallways (lots of dark brown, lots of scratch plaster, glass blocks, etc.) and find your room. Maybe we're a little spoiled now, but where we come from, rooms like these wouldn't even be offered as mechanics' apartments anymore. It felt like no piece of furniture was younger than 40-50 years, and the last renovation was probably 20 years ago. However, you have to admit that the room was clean and the beds were quite firm. The fact that we didn't sleep well was mainly due to the fact that there was hardly any air coming into the room and a squeaky fan tried in vain to improve this. The handwritten invoice, on the other hand, was definitely in the 21st century and at the level of a very good business hotel. Or to put it another way: It is clearly too expensive for what you get.Overall, it's a little sad to see a house in decline. You can still see how the hotel, restaurant, café and wine cellar were the heart of the place back then. Today the restaurant is run on a Greek basis (we can't judge the quality of the food), the café seems half-empty and poorly run, the wine cellar is closed, everything seems run down and a bit untidy. And unfortunately the place sometimes gives the same impression, lots of empty shops and closed restaurants. But I don't just want to mention the negatives, there were also positives:+ The boss (?) tried very hard to find a parking space despite the cramped conditions.+ the staff was consistently very nice and friendly.+ A public viewing for the European Championships was organized in the courtyard.+ The breakfast was okay, even if there was only filter coffee in thermos flasks, which is no longer up to date. Conclusion: A journey back in time to the time when Helmut Schmidt was Chancellor. You can do it once, but you don't have to repeat it given the price.

Unfortunately we didn't feel comfortable at all. The bathroom was an absolute disgrace. Overall, everything is very shabby. Breakfast was great. Price completely unreasonable.Unfortunately, the staff didn't respond to the comments ("I can't help it"/"I don't set the prices here").

Simple, clean rooms, baby or children's bed no problem, everyone slept very well, breakfast with everything from sausage to salmon to muesli to fruit to juices, really sufficient, service very friendly and courteous. In short, we booked 10 rooms, everyone was satisfied and felt comfortable.

The rooms are underground, old, older at the oldest. The furniture is at least from the 70s.Even the friendly staff doesn't make up for it if someone is there, because the reception is closed after 7 p.m. In the bathroom there is no shampoo, soap or anything similar, the toothbrush cup is made of thin plastic in foil like at a campsite. For this for 100 euros (excl. breakfast)The breakfast is reasonable for 7.50 euros, but also from the last century.Phew. Our parents lived here while they were visiting us... foreign embarrassment to the power of 5.Only the location is excellent!
