Quaint hotel, check-in without staff. Key handover via safe went smoothly. Two narrow stairs led to the room (no elevator), which was very pleasant and somewhat unconventional. Quiet, beds very good. Everything was somewhat unprofessionally renovated or worn out. Nevertheless, we felt very comfortable.

The hotel cannot be seen from the outside. The stairwell is totally worn out and when you enter the room (we had the 7) it smells like a sewer. …

We booked a room here for one night. Unfortunately, we can only agree with the many negative reviews. We only give one star because of the apparent cleanliness of the room and the friendly welcome upon arrival. The hotel looked like it was in dire need of renovation, both inside and out. Our room was no exception. The skirting boards were crooked or almost no longer on the wall, the wallpaper was either no longer there in some places or was ready to be removed. The mattress on the Bocksring bed was also sagging on both sides. There was a holder for the fire alarm in the room, but unfortunately the actual alarm was in the closet. We preferred not to test whether it was still functional or not. The door to the bathroom was unscrewed from the fitting so that a 1 centimeter gap was created at the back between the frame and the door leaf. The shower cubicle was also painted, but there was definitely no painter at work here, just like there was no wallpapering in the rest of the room. There were large blobs of paint on the ceiling of the shower cubicle that didn't belong there and the corners were already relatively rusty. The socket next to the sink was broken on the inside and therefore no longer usable. What was also nice was the lack of information that there was no hot water on offer. Neither at the sink nor in the shower. The free services listed on our booking site Hotel.de, such as a bottle of mineral water, use of Wi-Fi in the room and an internet terminal in the hotel, were also not met. This should urgently be adjusted.Unfortunately, we didn't think the price for the room was reasonable and we personally can't recommend the hotel.

I can say that the stay at the Hotel Hirsch was definitely unforgettable, but not in a good way.Although the location of the hotel is ideal for getting to Fulda city center quickly on foot. And is located in a quiet area surrounded by restaurants and cafes. However, the excellent location is the only thing about this hotel that allows for a positive comment. When we arrived we stood in front of the closed door in front of the Hotel Hirsch, because the reception is only open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and then from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. I think you simply can't do something like that as the owner of a hotel. In my opinion, the main arrival times are from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and you should have the opportunity to arrive at a hotel during this time. It's absolutely no use if there is a column for comments when booking and you can specify a desired arrival time there and then have to turn around and wait in front of a closed door. The building is very old, which is reflected not only in the wonderful sounds of the creaking steps, but also in the old musty smell that hovers in the hallway. The age of the building could also be felt in the room through the architectural masterpieces of crooked walls and vaulted ceilings. The so-called icing on the cake was the hygiene in the room, as there were cobwebs and dust from the last 20 years everywhere and had probably been here for just as long as all the furniture. So you can say that this room was very unusual. The experience of this hotel was both amusing and shocking and a prime example of the neglect and lack of renovation of a building.

The (unfortunately) only positive thing about the hotel is the location. In the pedestrian zone but still relatively quiet.Otherwise I would like to give 0 stars for the rooms. We, a friend and I, were there one night from yesterday to today, we definitely couldn't stay there longer and only because we slept there. Staying in the rooms is not an option. The hallway in front of the rooms smells musty, old and just looks old and shabby with the gray carpet. The rooms or our room: run down, dirty and everything but NOT inviting. For example, in the small bathroom there was no toilet lid, the shower tray prohibits you from showering in it, and the door cannot be opened properly. In the room itself the wallpaper is dirty, torn and stained. Scuffs in the laminate on the floor, dirt in the corners. At least the bedding was clean and smelled fresh. For €73 a night, simply impossible conditions and we will never go there again.

We were happy. We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay and we got it. I like to put myself in the opposite position every now and then. It's not a luxury, but somehow it all fits the current situation. A happy stop in a beautiful city.

More of a flophouse than a hotel. The reception was sobering, I had to call to say we were at the reception. Otherwise we would have waited hours. The stairwell and hallways were totally dirty, the wallpaper was probably white, and the floors were just as dirty. Attempts are made to cover up bad smells with scent dispensers. Tiny bathroom, cracks in the wall everywhere, furnishings and equipment were more than inadequate and a lot of things were temporarily "fry". The only plus point was the bed and the fresh linen. The worst: strange looks and questions because 2 men checked in together.Even the cheap price doesn't justify it.
