I was in Stümpelstal Landhaus. I had a room there. Kitchen, bathroom and toilet are in the hallway and must share with other guests. Otherwise, everything you need is there in the kitchen. Apparently the country house hasn't been renovated for a long time. Internet is very slow.But the staff are very friendly and very helpful.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a parking lot right next to the hotel.The rooms are large enough for a short trip and are modernly furnished. The drinks in the minibar are free, as is the coffee in the hallway.

Rooms are very small (rooms on the ground floor), as is the wet room. Bathroom quite newly decorated. The bed was good; the mattress is more on the “soft” side. Cleanliness very good. However, there was a slight smell of drains in the wet room. Due to the very limited space there are also “suitcase marks” on one wall.The outside area is beautiful. There is a small patio area in front of the room. The breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly.There are enough free car parking spaces available. Overall quiet location.

As a married couple born in Marburg in the 1950s, we still come home regularly. And we have been enjoying spending the night in Stümpelstal for many, many years. The friendly atmosphere, well-equipped rooms and dog-friendliness are important criteria for us. And yes, a long, cozy breakfast, where nothing is missing.... Our home away from home.....

Stayed at this hotel in connection with a wedding at Emils.There were two adults and two small children.The rooms are modernly furnished and offered enough space for us as a family.The staff were all very friendly, and their treatment of our children was always exemplary.Breakfast was very tasty and offered enough choice.Overall we were very satisfied.

The room was very small, the bathroom was extremely narrow. Here you had to “park in reverse” if you wanted to go to the toilet. The shower was still ok, simple shower head with not enough water. Unfortunately there was a moldy smell in the shower, very unpleasant.There was no storage space for suitcases in the room. The mattresses were OK, the blankets were the typical "hotel towels" - in winter I would bring my own blanket.Check-in/check-out were careless and superficial - a shame, no personal word or questions about arrival or stay.The breakfast buffet was OK, with some tasty things in between. Unfortunately there were some rolls that were not edible because they were completely dry.A nice touch was that the contents of the minibar (water, cola, beer and snacks) were included in the price. There was also a coffee machine for free use (in the hallway).We definitely wouldn't come back.

I arrived with my dog and a hiking backpack. We were warmly welcomed and given a spacious room. In the hallway there is coffee and tea for free consumption as well as a snack bar and seating to end the evening. There is a separate bathroom in the room, which is spacious and has been newly tiled. The mattresses are extremely comfortable and everyone can find space for their belongings in the large closet.Now a few suggestions for improvement: The wooden furniture is a bit old and could use a new coat of paint. The wood is partly very dried out (e.g. bedside table in room 62). The picture frames were glued unprofessionally, but otherwise they fit the furnishings. And unfortunately the floor wasn't very clean either, vacuuming and wiping were forgotten in both the room and the bathroom. I found that a bit unfortunate.There is a restaurant next door. The staff is extremely friendly and the food was also very tasty. And breakfast is also possible here.Oh yes, a big shout out to whoever designed this great room card. This contains all the information you need. Top.

We booked the best room category directly through the hotel 6 months in advance. The pictures online: bright, large rooms. The reality: dark, rather small, super narrow bathroom (renovated) with an old, shabby door, but good beds. Located directly opposite the kitchen, we had clattering, music and conversations from the cleaning team until midnight. Breakfast preparations started at 5 a.m. I spoke to reception the next day. A nice conversation with an apology, which only related to the noise. OK. But also the question of why we didn't complain straight away. How are we supposed to know how long the noise lasts? Instead, I asked why we, as direct bookers with 6 months' notice, didn't get a room straight away as advertised on the internet. We certainly won't be coming back. Overall 3 stars, but only because of the nice service.

Unfortunately, I booked a room in the country house without knowing that it had a shared bathroom. It's probably on the website somewhere, but when you booked via the website it wasn't in the description that you see first. In any case, the bathrooms are not very clean and the mattresses are hard, the doors have been slamming since 5:00 a.m. - I certainly won't book this category again. I've been a guest here many times and the rooms in the actual hotel are really quite okay. The restaurant is very good. However, I skip breakfast because it is really very simple, I can also go to Tegut opposite. When it comes to service at the reception or on the telephone outside of business hours, it depends on the person.
