The views at Gynandha Ubud Cottages? Absolutely stunning 😍. The location is fantastic ❤️, right off the main road in Ubud, making it easy to explore the area while still feeling secluded enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. The price is quite competitive too, which makes it tempting for budget travelers looking for a charming spot in Ubud.However, the rooms themselves left me a bit disappointed 😅. The hotel is definitely trying to present itself as more high-end than it actually is, but the finishing touches just aren’t there. Everything feels a bit worn and in need of some love. For instance, the bathtub felt unsafe—it literally almost tipped over. The sink also didn’t seem fully secured, which was a bit concerning, and the bedding had some questionable stains that made me uncomfortable.As for the breakfast, I wouldn’t recommend it 😑. It’s 100K per person per day, but honestly, it’s not worth it. The eggs benedict? A miss. The amount of vinegar they use in the poached eggs was way too intense 😅, and overall the breakfast options just didn’t match up to what you’d expect, especially for that price.That being said, the staff was incredibly sweet and helpful, always going above and beyond to assist with anything we needed. Their hospitality definitely made up for some of the shortcomings. And again, the views are truly exceptional, which helped elevate the overall experience. If you’re okay with a few rough edges, the location and price make this place worth considering for a short stay in Ubud.

This was my first accommodation on my trip to Bali.They kindly guided us through late check-in.The location is such that the accommodation cannot be reached by car.There are disadvantages, but the advantage is that if you request, your luggage can be moved on a motorcycle, and the accommodation is quiet because it is located in a corner.The room was spacious and the view outside the window was very nice.I was embarrassed because the bathroom door handle came off.^^;

I can only recommend a super beautiful resort in the heart of Ubud if you travel a lot and if you want to relax a bit in the meantime, this is the perfect place. A small oasis surrounded by rice fields. I can highly recommend booking a room on the second floor because from there you can see the pool area and the rice fields very nicely.We had breakfast included here. This was enough, we were full, it was very tasty, you could choose from a menu what you wanted for breakfast. Even if we went on excursions very early in the morning, we gave notice a day in advance. A package was made for us with sandwiches and something sweet. So there's really nothing to complain about here, the only reason I'm deducting a star is because it's really at breakfast or lunch. If you ordered something it just took a little longer.The massage here in the hotel is highly recommended. It's not that expensive either, obviously going away is cheaper, but we're talking about a maximum difference of five euros.The Pulle landscape consists of two levels on the upper levels. There are also sun loungers including umbrellas.The only important thing is that as soon as you arrive at your accommodation and perhaps get out of the vehicle, you inform the accommodation directly that you are on the main road and they will come and pick you up because the route with suitcases or heavy luggage is not quite the same ideal because it goes up the mountain through small, narrow streets and is very dark in the evenings.That's why it's better to inform the accommodation and they will pick you up.

Perfect oasis to relax after a turbulent day in Ubud.I can highly recommend the accommodation, it is beautifully surrounded by rice fields. Rooms on the second floor in particular have great views of the pool and rice fields. When the weather is nice you can even see the Batur volcano from the window.Pool is on two levels but only at the top there are a few loungers and parasols.Food and drinks in the hotel are inexpensive so it's hardly worth eating out.Before you arrive, call the accommodation, they will pick you up from the main street and bring your luggage to the hotel as the walk is not that relaxed as it goes up a mountain and through narrow, dark streets.Massages in the hotel are very good and not expensive either.There is everything in the area, the location of the hotel is really very good. Rooms are very modern and spacious.

The hotel Itself Is very beautiful, close to the center bit in a very calm area. The staff Is friendly and helpful. This 1 star review Is based on the fact that they sell all their rooms as they have balcony and then this is not true. We paid for a room with balcony and we got a ground floor one with no privacy at all, with people passing in front forcing us to keep the curtains closed. Moreover , after having checked in and paid the room, our booking reservation was cancelled by the property with the excuse of and error system and we could not even leave a review in booking.

Gynandha Ubud Cottage is back just far enough to be out of the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk to the Main Street. The rooms are air conditioned clean and tidy set in a quiet location looking over the pools and rice fields for the upper levels. There is a hill to encounter on foot to access the cottages and the upper and lower floors are steps. The staff will transport your bags on motorbikes. I’d highly recommend for an Ubud stay.

I would add furniture to the rooms and the terrace. Breakfast is not tasty. Towels and bed linen are all yellow and not fresh. I am glad that the bathroom has all the necessary hygiene products. Comfortable mattress. The rooms are clean. Workers in dirty clothes near the pool are constantly walking around.

Pros:- Hotel is in a very good location, walking distance from cental Ubud and even though it doesn't have direct car access, the staff are happy to carry your suitcases via motorcycle.- We arranged a lovely massage at the hotel- The view from our room was wonderful, both the rice terraces and swimming pools.- SmartTV means Netflix access- Room nicely decoratedCons:- Breakfast options are a bit limited, especially the drinks where you get whatever the fruit juice of the day is and for hot drink, black coffee or tea. Would be nice to have a list of beverages and different types of coffee/tea to pick from.- The rooms have curtains for the night but during the day there aren't any sheer curtains which is a bit of a privacy issue.- Air conditioning unit was a bit weak.- The rainfall shower had weak water pressure, although the handheld shower was fine.

One of the best hotels in Bali we've been to!Ubud being a very noisy city, the hotel is located 3 minutes walk from the center but out of the center and quiet. It's nice to be there at the end of the day after a day in Ubud.The best: the hotel offers you quite a few extras for very reasonable prices = tailor-made tour with a taxi for a day, breakfast served in the swimming pool, flower swimming pool or even massageThe staff is adorable and always attentive 😍

We stayed for 3 nights, it is right in the center and it is very easy to get everywhere.We stayed on the ground floor, the entrance to the room is from the garden door and overlooks the pool, so you always have to keep your curtains closed, you cannot open them because there are so many mosquitoes, we had to spend time in the dark day and night while in the room. The room smells very damp, the smell of damp permeated all the way to our belongings in the suitcase, which is very annoying.The balcony door, that is, the entrance door, causes a lot of trouble when locked, and needs to be checked.We bought the room thinking it would overlook the rice field, but we never saw it :(They said they could change rooms because they were full, but changing rooms for 1 night is really difficult with big suitcases.Unfortunately, the water in the room does not come with a closed lid.You take a shower in the bathtub and the entire bathroom floor is covered in water, the sound of water does not go away for half an hour.For hot water, you need to turn on the fountain and wait for 5 minutes.We had a massage at the hotel and it was really good, it is even more enjoyable when you get it outdoors.The most memorable part of this stay is the approach of the staff.The reception and service staff are all very friendly and eager to do whatever you say, I have never seen such an approach, they are wonderful!!!We thank each and every one of them.

Upon arrival (after a long flight of 17 hours) a warm welcome. Somewhat tired, the suitcases were carried upstairs for us. Once we arrived we saw a bed where the four of us could easily sleep.Swimming pool is lovely and fun. Restaurant has a small but tasty menu.The view is incredibly beautiful over the rice fields behind it.Staff are friendly and helpful.The shower can get cold but quickly warms up again.All in all, we spend another full day here, but it is certainly worth it to be right in the center without the hustle and bustle of the center.We call Gynandha Ubud Cottage a hidden gem.
