The food was actually good, but the rooms are terrible! We were there on a school trip when we were making the bed and there was a dead spider on the bed sheet. The room was dirty. There were old gummy bears or crumbs of cookies and chips everywhere, I wanted my 20 euros I had to exchange notes for change to get something from the snack machine. The woman at the reception was unfriendly and told me to go out and close the door, which was outrageous! When I wanted to get something from the snack machine, something else happened! Impossible to go there !

Room clean but simple (youth hostel)Top service. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Location remote and isolated. Hardly any cell phone network and in the middle of nowhere. But good, free WiFi. If you want to concentrate and work in peace, it's great.

Was there on a school trip, which is really great for a youth hostel, but it still gives a few points which is why I deducted 2 stars.The WiFi works poorly.The beds weren't very comfortable.In general the rooms were ok but they weren't clean either…Stairs are the biggest boss.The lounges are quite okay.But the staff is super correct.UUUUUNNDDD the food is bomb 💣

The staff is super friendly. They took very good care of me with my celiac disease and cooked me absolutely gluten-free dishes every day. Therefore, big recommendation from me!

We hosted a company dinner there. The rooms were very good for this occasion (approx. 50 people). Sufficient space and modern. The sanitary facilities were modern and very clean. With a nice supporting program and delicious food, you can certainly celebrate really well there! I can't say anything about the rooms, but if they are designed like the rest, then there would certainly be nothing to complain about. I liked it!

We, the team of teachers and a group of trainees at the education campus in Koblenz recently had the pleasure of visiting the Karlsheim youth education center. Our experience there was consistently positive.We found the entire team to be extremely committed and friendly. We felt the commitment from the reception staff to the technology manager to the kitchen team.Particularly noteworthy is the support of the person responsible for technology. He was always on hand to ensure all technical requirements were met. The technical equipment in the youth education center proved to be perfect for our needs and worked perfectly, making our stay extremely smooth.We would also like to praise the excellent food. The very friendly kitchen team attached great importance to variety, so that there was something for every taste.Overall, our stay at the Karlsheim youth education center was a completely positive experience. The committed and friendly staff, the perfect technical equipment and the varied food contributed significantly to this. We can fully recommend this facility and are already looking forward to our next visit. A big thank you to the entire Karlsheim team for this wonderful experience!

I was there on a school trip, the location was very poorly chosen on a street with average traffic, the noise is very annoying. The beds and bedrooms are very small and uncomfortable. The food is very average for a youth hostel. The staff is very friendly. The lounges are very uncomfortable, this also applies to the beds. It feels like you're sleeping on a rock. The WiFi in Karlsheim was completely underground. The owner is very unfriendly.

I was there on a school trip and I wouldn't go there again. The food was very tasty but the canteen women didn't seem very interested.Our room was very large but not very clean: cobwebs, hair in the shower and sink, disgusting stains on the bed linen, blood stains on the ceiling, chewing gum on the walls. The rooms were very small and a bit cleaner. But we were told beforehand that we would only be able to move into the rooms in an hour because they still had to be cleaned. Walls, ceilings and floors are paper thin. We spoke at a whisper level and there were three complaints about the volume.The staff were alternate, many were very unfriendly and fussy but others were very nice. Leisure activities were very varied. The location is very nice right next to a stream and campsite.

Comfortable and large rooms with average furnishings. Food very balanced and varied at all meals. Even a warm meal for dinner. Lots of space around the youth hostel in the middle of nature. There is also the option of renting a large event room, even with air conditioning and a large screen.There is WiFi in the youth hostel, but its strength and speed leave a lot to be desired. Another complaint is that you can only eat a croissant for breakfast and the fries for lunch are unfortunately not really crispy but are well seasoned.

All in all it can be said:Food: AwesomeTerrain: Big/BeautifulRooms: Equipped with everything you would expect in a youth hostelLocation: In the middle of nowhere, so very quiet, beautiful and pleasant/idyllicCriticism: Kirchähr is (not) connected to public transport with around 0 buses per dayI wouldn't recommend public transport in Rhineland-Palatinate anyway.
