Damp and hard to locate. Catfish to pictures online.Room was clean, but in desperate need of some tlc. The bathroom was mouldy, the bin next to the toilet was growing mould, and the back of the bathroom door was missing and simply patched up with scraps of material. The entire place stank of damp, the wall paper was hanging off the walls with big black and brown stains everywhere. We did not feel comfortable staying here and could not find anyone to talk about changing rooms. Found alternative accommodation and awaiting booking.com to come back to us with help as the photos are a complete catfish to the room we were allocated. Was a real shame as the photos advertised look delightful!

We enjoyed our stay here. Location is fantastic yet set back enough to not be noisy. I liked the little pool and the gardens. Staff were helpful and although no kettle in our room, it was no problem for them to boil a kettle for me when requested...I had bought my own travel cup and tea!Rooms were clean and serviced daily and the beds were comfortable. The only downside is the general condition of the rooms. Some damp issues and general poor workmanship. Hot water dosen't last long so turn the shower down to help it last longer!

The central location is well worth staying here. The rooms are clean and functional and the setting is very Balinese. For exploring the centre of Ubud this is a great place to stay. Not the easiest to find in the dark to be honest but more than made up its great character.

We stayed 12 nights in this accommodation, first 2 nights on the ground floor and 10 nights on the second floor. The only difference was the shower had better water pressure on the ground floor. We never had problems with hot water running out on either floors.The rooms were large and equipped with a fridge, safe, TV, air conditioning and free wifi with a table and chairs outside each room, the bed was comfortable and an electric kettle was supplied on request, nice in-ground pool. The staff were so nice and very helpful.The location was quiet with motorbike parking only out the front.Very close to shops and restaurants.I would not hesitate to stay here again. I gave this accommodation 5 stars for its location, cleanliness, comfortable rooms, excellent staff and value for money.Thankyou to the Astana staff for making our stay so comfortable!

Located right in the heart of Ubud. Family run guesthouse which was clean and with friendly hosts. Initially difficult to find but its a really quiet haven from the hustle and bustle and noise of Ubud. A great place to explore the town and really close to everything which is in walking distance.

We stayed in room 203 which was a standard double room. Short stay of 1 night as we where travelling early the next day. I don’t think I could of stayed longer as no fridge & hot water was intermittent. Limited scooter parking out front. All of the best restaurants are near by, you could walk the block in 15 minutes & find something decent to eat. Comfortable bed, working wifi & a/c. Friendly service! Even though in the middle of Ubud this place was super quiet!

Not very clean! Insects crushed on blackberries in the room. Lizards on the roof. Toilet smell.Poor service.It was difficult to communicate with the staff since they don't speak English.Only the location is good

A simple accommodation with a pool although for the price we paid per night, we honestly expected much more as it is the most expensive accommodation we have paid in 2 months traveling through Indonesia. The room is a standard size, it is clean, there is body soap although no shampoo and they provide towels. The staff is friendly, the location of the accommodation is good and it has a swimming pool although the floor was not clean at all and therefore we did not use it. The price includes breakfast, you can choose between omelet or pancakes accompanied by a small portion of fruit salad and to drink coffee or tea, in my opinion quite fair for the price paid.

Truly hidden gem. The location can’t be any more central than this place in Ubud. You don’t need to rent a motorbike anymore. You can just walk around. Room is new. Shower is okay though can be better. The morning sunrise is beautiful here and quiet.This is a budget hotel in a prime location. You pay for the location. I was quite surprised how decent everything was after reading some bad reviews. Maybe they had a misunderstanding.

Really bad place. Rude people. I booked through Agoda and it gave me discount. The owner didn’t like it and he pushed me to cancel my reservation at the last minute. When we arrived at hotel they didn’t let us in. It end up in police. After police talk they changed immediately.

Awful management. Had to go to the police because the owner wouldn't let us into our room. It cost us 75K for the ride to and from the police. The owner wanted us to pay more after we had already paid for and booked the room.The bathroom smelled moldy and the owner of the hotel next to us farted at us. We were surprised and confused..At least there was a pool.Not worth the money.

Nice clean room, just far enough away (50m) not to be bothered by the hustle and bustle of the center of Ubud. Excellent price/quality ratio (I booked via Airbnb). Small but nice swimming pool in a beautiful tropical garden.
